Back Cove 41 Yacht Review

Back Cove 41 Yacht ReviewThe Back Cove 41 is a sophisticated vessel with neat and simplistic lines. She has maneuvering abilities similar to pod-types, and comes without the hefty price. The standard version of the vessel comes with a side power proportional controlled bow and also has stern thrusters. The boat shoves along with effective displacement speeds using a single engine propulsion package. This vessel is powered by one Cummins QSC8.3 diesel with 600 horsepower. As an alternative, you can have a Cummins 715 horsepower QSM11 or a Volvo Penta D11 with 725 horsepower. Even with the standard model, you will find that maneuvering and driving this yacht is easy and fun!

Construction

The best construction techniques were used in the creation of this vessel. The hull and side walls are foam cored and resin infused in one round. There isn’t any type of secondary attachment between the inside, which strengthens the pieces. Corecell is also used, which makes it even more stable. Punctures and a precise infusion technique are used to guarantee appropriate dispersal. Coosa board is used instead of Corecell in hull fitting areas, and the skin vinylester coat prevents print-through. Balsa is used instead of Corecell in the deck molding.

Accommodations

While the boat is very practical, it also has elegance about her. On the main deck there are two Stidd helm chairs on a sturdy fiberglass molding toward the right side. A small L shaped sofa is also found in this area. Further back, there is a U shaped dining area. Across from this you will find an extensive galley with a refrigerator, microwave, and a cooktop. All cabinetry is a product of the USA. To the right of the helm seat, there is a door for easy access to the side deck.

Below the main deck you will find the bedrooms. The master room his at the bow and features an island queen bed. There is also a bathroom with separate shower stall that meets it on the right side. Across the way, there is another bathroom. This is used for the guest room, and for general use during the day. The guest room itself is just as elegant as the master with a double bed, plenty of room to stand, a locker, drawers, and other adequate cabinetry.

In the rear bulkhead there is a bifold door that leads to the cockpit. There is a window in this area that is controlled by electricity. With the door and window open, the saloon and cockpit seem to come together for entertaining larger groups. There are two couches in the shape of an L in this area, and another bench style seating area that faces toward the rear.
