Carver 50 Command Bridge Yacht Review

Carver 50 Command Bridge Yacht Review
If you’re looking for an elegant yacht that features both luxury, space and performance, the Carver 50 Command Bridge is your vessel. The Carver 50 comfortably sleeps six, with three staterooms, a full-beam amidships master, two heads, open-concept cockpit with fully opening glass doors, and namesake bridge, space is definitely not an issue. Wide side decks offer easy access to the large foredeck seating area and a large aft galley are some of the unique features that come with the C50.

The C50’s hull, deck and superstructure feature both hand laid and vacuum-infused structural and non-structural fiberglass. For superior strength, core laminates are bonded with infused epoxy resin. In order to create an exceptionally smooth running surface, Carver bead blasts the hull bottom to ensure optimal bonding with sprayed on antifouling paint, below the waterline.

Carver has been building and testing boats in Wisconsin for more than 60 years in some of the harshest conditions on the planet. Their hulls are supported by an extraordinary stringer system that reinforces the bow. They use a modified V-hull with plumb-bow to slice through head seas; hard chine to control side-to-side rocking, 14 degree deadrise (lifts stern and increase speed), lifting strake (provides added lift, and knockdown rail (keeps water from running up the hull).

A unique vacuum infused resin technology is used to keep their boats strong while also keeping them light.
