Fountaine-Pajot Summerland My 40 LC Yacht Review

Fountaine-Pajot Summerland My 40 LC Yacht ReviewThe MY 40 LC was created for supreme efficiency and enjoying the water. Fountaine-Pajot has built dominant boats since 1998, earning the name “Trawler Catamarans.” To this day, they live up to their name with their vast living space and the steadiness created with the catamaran design. Charter boats especially like this build because it is ideal for cruising along the coast. There is plenty of people room on this craft and fuel usage is excellent.

Accommodations

There are two queen beds in the front and rear with a shared bathroom and the starboard hull has a master quarters and a large bathroom. In both areas, there is a lot of storage space with lockers. A different type of room, called a technical room, leads to the holding tank and generator, hydraulic pump, and fuel-water separator.

Performance

The MY 40 LC has a Volvo Penta D3 diesel with a Purafiner diesel filtration element and vibration decreasing mounts for the engine. It also has a large starting battery and over 2 inches of padding to drown out noise while cruising.

On both the upper and lower helm, there is an engine control binnacle that is mounted on an angle. This may take some getting used to, but it is a great feature once you adjust to the difference. There are lights that show forward, reverse, and neutral to help guide you. This is a great vessel to just get up and go with!
