Performance

Hampton Endurance 720 Yacht ReviewThe seal-trialed run of the Hampton Endurance 720EN in open Atlantic waters from the shores of Ft. Lauderdale entered these waters on a rough day. With steady 20 knots wind, driving forward in 3 to 4 foot cresting waves throughout a short period time along with moments of high end crests generated a perfect scenario for this vessel’s overall performance for this decent sized yacht. Performance spoke well for this vessel handling the conditions like a champ. With little to no bucking motions, which often happens with blustering headseas, the total lack of slamming in the errant big boys there was no squatting aft, no significant roll while abeam and running whether on the port side or starboard side.

A great deal of this was due to their Wesmar Three-Term Stabilizer fins and 1,150 horsepower Caterpillar C18 ACERT diesels. These diesels generate an average of fast cruise of 18 knots per 2,000 rpm and honest 14.7 knots at 1,750 rpm.

Construction

The 720 features offers a hand-laid solid fiberglass hull with Knytex or Cymans fabrics. Vinylester resin is used in the first five layers of the hull with two layers of Kevlar from chine and three layers for the forward collision zone.

The deck, deck house and flying bridge are cored with extremely high strength Divinycell foam. The hull to deck join is bolted every 6 inches, sealed and secured with 3M 5200 sealant and glassed over with another 3 layers of fiberglass.

Molded with FRP for longitude and transverse members, the interior structure components are thoroughly bonded to the interior hull.

Accommodations

This vessel offers an enormous amount of amenities both externally and internally, providing enormous comfort and luxury. The main deck, aft, welcomes you to a dining table with a grill and a sink. Go inside the saloon and be greeted by top of the line fit and finished detail.

At the bottom of the expansive staircase, the forward end and the saloon are joined together at the lower deck which enters the 730 features of a four stateroom and five head layout.

The VIP suggests an island queen berth and cedar lined closet while an amidships guest stateroom suggest a side by side berth that can be easily converted into a double, thanks to a convenient insertion.

The amazing full beam master aft has an unusually ornamentally burl overhead, along with overhead and huge walk in closets made from cedar. Enjoy a bureau, vanity and en suite upper and lower berth with separate shower and head compartments. You also have full access to the full galley.

Overall

This vessel offers exceptionally, finely crafted woodwork and storage areas with enough space for long cruises. The upper deck and sky lounge offer a dining table and helm station. You will enjoy the relaxing and comfortable seating area and head.

Enjoy the gloriously crafted staircase which leads down to the main deck and galley forward. Also included is a bar in the starboard, formal dining area in port and aft which houses a beautiful main saloon.
