Hinckley Talaria 43 Yacht Review

Hinckley Talaria 43 Yacht ReviewThe Talaria 43 is the prettier sister. The first generation was produced as a type of picnic boat and was 36 feet long. Then came the MKIII that reached 37 feet. It was almost identical to the first. Now, the larger model, the 43, has been perfectly proportioned. The changed only result in improvements. The 43 features two Cummins QSC8.3 diesels with 550 horsepower. She runs a tad high at the bow, but this makes it easy to tab down when needed. Most people will be delighted with the 43’s proportions and accommodations. It is a true picnic boat that will please and charm.

Construction

Hinckley Talaria 43 Yacht ReviewThe aesthetics of this vessel make the picnic boat design a huge success. The shape mixes the looks of both lobster boats and yachts. To the nautical eye, all of the features are great and perfectly placed. With every new model of a boat, there are a few tweaks to make it better. But this one really feels like it’s the top of the line. Designers usually work with a known shape; with this version, they had to start at the drawing board. There was no previous model to go by.

Accommodations

This yacht was designed for weekend adventures, not long hauls. There are limited accommodations, which include a large V berth with a bathroom, and a guest room with a slide out double bed. There is a large cockpit. There are two long couches that are capable of providing seats for eight people in the sun. There is an optional shade to block the sun for those times that you would like to relax in the shade. It’s invisible when not in use and can cover the whole cockpit if desired.
