Accommodations

This yacht is designed for those in pursuit of Marlin, or Makaira, which is where it acquires its name. There are four cabins and three bathrooms on board. As with most convertible, there is a huge couch on the main deck in a U-shape. There is also a wet bar and entertainment center. By stepping up one lone stair, you will be at the dinette. The dinette features a table, bench, and stools.

A curved staircase leads to the staterooms. The master is to port and has a queen berth and a great private bathroom. To the bow is the VIP which also has a queen bed. This room shared a bathroom with the other room.

Going along with theme and function, the Makaira features the flying bridge design. Three large displays can be found on the flat surface and the bench in front of the console has a built in rod and tackle storage area.

The cockpit on board is very user friendly and the driver can steer with ease. The mezzanine has a freezer/ cold storage and is fully functional.

Construction

The 64 is constructed with two Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines with 1925 horsepower. The hull is charcoal grey in color and infused with resin. The laminate used for the lowermost part of the Hull is made with two one inch layers of Coracell with a layer of glass in between and the sides have an additional inch for strength. Kevlar is also utilized for additional protection. To enhance weight dispersal, transfer pumps move fuel.

A shaped stringer made out of carbon fiber holds up the engines to help allocate the weight over a larger area. The interior walls are lined for sound reduction.

Performance

This yacht proves itself in rougher waters and has no troubles pushing against the tide.
