Regal 53 SC Yacht Review

Regal 53 SC Yacht ReviewThe Regal 53 SC is a state of the art yacht; it is a direct type of boat that is conventionally styled with a lot of modern engineering below. Although she is modest when it comes to style this beauty is top of the line when it comes to building and modern technology. There are many features that catch the eye, including a glass bridge, a joystick for maneuvering ease, Lenco adjusting trim tabs, a self-macerating sea chest, Zeus pod propulsion units, and a Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilizer among other interesting features.

Accommodations

The interior of this vessel is pretty straightforward and practical. The helm station has seats facing front and back. There is an upper saloon surrounded by windows behind the helm station that includes a lounge, a hi-lo table on the port side, and a refreshment center near the starboard side. A window and a glass door open electrically to a cockpit at the stern. The saloon and cockpit share a single seamless level.
On the lower deck, comfort is the top priority. There are three layouts to choose from. One has one VIP with a pedestal berth; another has a single VIP with a double berth at starboard and an upper bunk at port. The final option has one stateroom and an additional room with upper and lower bunks.
The master has full beams and is a large room. There us a queen sized bed that is completely accessible from three of the four sides, huge windows, and a bath. Between the VIP and the master is a small saloon with a dinette and portside galley.

Performance

The 53 SC is fun to drive and keeps her nose down nicely. This yacht is not afraid to pick up speed, in part due to her modest weight.

Construction

This vessel is pretty mainstream in regards to the build, although the hull features a vinylester skin coat to keep it from blistering. This feature is so reliable that it comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
The engine room is loaded with the very best marine technology. Some contemporary highpoints include the Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, the Lenco auto adjusting trim tabs, the Zeus pod system, and the self-macerating sea chest that were mentioned previously. These help with the roll factor and other mechanical matters.
