LEGENDARY CRUISES TO THE ANCIENT WORLD

← All charters

There are many reasons to consider the cruise to the Greek Islands the best destination in the world – great ancient culture, dainty dishes, amazing sunrises and sunsets. Of course, it’s very difficult to make up your decision about the destination of the trip. The best choice would be to work out several routes – for history lovers, trencher men, people preferring parties, or those who like quiet rest.

We offer a guide-line that concentrates on the best places where you’ll find everything. It includes the Saronic Gulf, Dodecanese and Cyclades Islands, Poros, Hydra (a unique island where motorized vehicles are forbidden), Mykonos where things are humming, Santorini with its white splendor, isolated Symi, energetic Rhodes, and Fethiye – the beginning of your travel.

This course allows you to avoid the Meltemi winds that blow through the Cyclades islands in summer (especially June and July) and obstruct you trip. The navigation is planned very carefully: you will sail mostly at night, thus you won’t waste time. So, let’s go to the land of ancient gods and culture armed with our Greek guide-line.

Travel program

Day 1 Athens to Poros

The airport in Athens where you’ll disembark is only a short way from Piraeus. After leaving this old, busy, and hot city, you’ll get straight to the Saronic Gulf with its crystal waters and tender breezes. In the afternoon, you can head for Poros and take a stroll there along the magnificent pinewood. You’ll get on board your yacht, feeling refreshed in both mind and body, and in expectation of new adventures.

Day 2Hydra

In the morning you’ll get to Hydra where motorized vehicles are forbidden. You’ll take a quiet walk along its narrow streets that lead straight from the harbor to galleries, modern shops, ancient churches, and flourishing taverns. Don’t forget to relax and cool off in the sea before you take your stroll. Drink a glass of local wine as you feast your eyes on the port and that night you’ll sail to Delos.

Day 3Delos to Mykonos

Have breakfast on your yacht and then make a tour of the archaeological site where great stone lions guard ancient temples and ruined sanctuaries, all of which are sure to impress you. At noon, you can sail to the south side of Mykonos (near Platis and Ornos) and visit the famous Nammos, a restaurant on the beach, and have lunch there. Various water activities are waiting for you in the afternoon before you go to town to have a late dinner and enjoy the well-known Mykonos bars.

Day 4Mykonos

Come to an anchor by Mykonos and have a morning relaxing after the previous night entertainments. Maybe massage therapy or yoga? Have lunch on your yacht near the Santa Marina Resort while enjoying a wonderful view over the sea. Have fun with the numerous water toys and go for a walk along the shore, admiring cube houses as if they were made of snow-white sugar and silver sand beaches. Sail to Santorini at night.

Day 5Santorini

Don’t forget to wake up early to see the yacht sailing into the great caldera harbor of the famous Santorini’s volcano. Please note that summer in Greece is very hot, so if you want to hike along the edge of the caldera begin to do so at dawn. You’ll spend the rest of the day swimming and relaxing before walking around town and having dinner in a peaceful spot near the bay. Spend the night sailing to Symi.

Day 6Symi

Stopping in the solitary bay, there’s a chance you’ll be the single yacht there. Visit Panormitis and walk along the seaside in this splendid town. In the evening you can have dinner and relax in Galios, the town of old Greek fishing boats and taverns.

Day 7Symi to Rhodes

Cheer up in the morning by swimming at one of the remote beaches in Symi, then have lunch while sailing to Rhodes. Its harbor is rather interesting because it’s a mixture of different styles: Ottoman, Italian, and medieval. Early in the evening, you can have a drink in one of the crowded restaurants and visit some shops that look like small markets. Tonight you’ll sail to Turkey.

Day 8Fethiye

A new morning will begin in the cheerful town of Fethiye. While having breakfast, enjoy the sight of the bay with boats floating slowly by your luxury yacht. Have a rest and your yacht will depart.
