The Exumas - Yacht Charter

EACH OF THE 365 ISLANDS PRESENTS YOU WITH UNIQUE EXPERIENCES

← All charters

There is a real treasure in the Bahamas. It’s not gold or jewels, but a chain of islands in brilliant sapphire waters. Each of the Exuma Isles has its own fascinating charm, so you need the whole year to explore them. But within the duration of your luxury yacht charter, you’ll be able to see as many of them as time allows. The water is so blue and clear that you can see every coral head on the bottom and it almost seems possible to just stretch your arm out to touch them.

This is an excellent place for swimming and diving. Nowhere else on Earth can you find these conditions for such a comfortable tropical vacation. Each island is “individual” and offers you different opportunities, from resting on a secluded beach to hiking to dining at exotic restaurants.

The waters and shore are inhabited by a variety of creatures including nurse sharks (Compass Cay), giant lizards (Allen’s Cay), and swimming pigs (Big Major Cay). You can find adventures everywhere – in the caves near Staniel Cay, in small quiet bays, or on the sea bottom while diving.

Some of the isles are private and provide you a comfortable environment for rest with bars full of cold beer and tropical cocktails, or cafes and restaurants with different cuisine. Here, nature outnumbers man, coastlines remain flawless, and private homes play host to some of the world’s most famous stars. The Exumas truly are the ultimate escape.

Travel program

Day 1 Paradise Island to Highbourne Cay

Your yacht is waiting for you near Paradise Island. Sail through Highbourne City and directly to the Exumas. It won’t take long to get to Allen’s Cay where you can “get acquainted” with huge rock iguanas and perhaps even feed the innocuous creatures. Do some hiking to the Spring and return to the yacht where dinner will be ready to be served.

Day 2Highbourne Cay to Shroud Cay

It’s a perfect day for diving at the Exuma Wall. If the 75-foot depth is a little intimidating you can easily find scuba groups to dive with. Norman’s Cay is a good place for snorkeling, even for the inexperienced, and provides an opportunity to see a sunken airplane. At lunch time, visit MacDuff’s to have the most delicious meal you could dream of. In the evening, have a picnic on the deserted island of Shroud Cay under the black sky and try to count stars.

Day 3Shroud Cay to Warderick Wells

It will be a busy day, so have a big breakfast aboard while your yacht cruises to Warderick Wells. On the way, you can observe the wide variety of birds and sea animals like sea turtles, lobsters, and rainbow-colored fish. There is something very interesting waiting for you on the shore – an old enormous skeleton of a 53-foot sperm whale! This will surely delight the archeologist in everyone. With such breath-taking views and fantastic tropical plants, you won’t have a minute to be bored so explore and see as much as you can.

Day 4Warderick Wells to Staniel Cay

In the morning, your yacht will be approaching Bell’s Cay, famous for its Aquarium site and a convenient spot for diving. At Compass Cay, don’t miss the opportunity to interact with nurse sharks. These “sea wolves” are friendly. The best place to have dinner is the Hill House restaurant and while sitting on the elevated perch, you’ll be able to enjoy the views all around. The doors to Staniel Cay Yacht Club bar are always opened for guests, so visit it in the evening.

Day 5Staniel Cay

The first thing that you see upon arriving at Staniel Cay is a “bouquet” of multicolored cottages adorning the waterfront so be ready to step ashore and head for new experiences. Thunderball Grotto (James Bond’s adventures happened here) is a beautiful cave where fish are so accustomed to people that they aren’t afraid to take food from your hands. At Big Major’s Cay, watch cute swimming pigs (but don’t feed them!) and end the day with a picnic served by the crew on a lovely sandbar.

Day 6Staniel Cay to Paradise Island

The time has come to use your toys so enjoy playing in the water while snorkeling, jet-skiing, diving, or maybe even fishing. Return to Paradise Island and dine at Nobu, visit a casino, or do some shopping. As your travels come to an end, try to spend this evening in the best way.
