CONSTRUCTION

The hull is an entirely welded aluminum construction consisting of: hull, internal tanks, deck, bulwark, superstructure, deck storages, winch foundations etc. The material used for the construction is aluminum H321. The welding is carried out by certified welders under supervision of an ABS surveyor and checked by using x-rays. To insure the yachts integrity and buoyancy in case of calamities the hull is separated into 6 compartments by means of watertight bulkheads.
Insurance
The vessel and all associated items of equipment where adequately insured by the builder at their cost during the entire construction, commissioning and sea trial period until handover.
Noise and vibration
The Builder consulted JVS Scheeps- en Industrietechniek B.V. as Noise and Vibration Expert and followed their directions and schedules to insure comfortable noise levels throughout the yacht.
Windows
The yacht is equipped with a RAFA window system that means all windows are fitted into integrated welded aluminum frames in the superstructure. All glass is tinted glass. As to regulations the glass of the bridge windows is clear glass.

TECHNICAL INSTALLATIONS

Engine room general
The engine room is the technical heart of the ship. Next to the main engines and generators you will find here the main units from all major technical systems. Special attention is given to measures that limit the transfer of noise and vibrations throughout the yacht. All electrical/vibrating
machinery is fitted on (soft) rubber, resilient mounts. And the in and outside of the engine room is covered with sound and vibration insulating and damping materials which also ensures an highly fire retardant barrier in case of fire.
Garage and Lazarette
Aft of the engine room the garage (sb) and lazarette (ps) are situated. You can access them by 2 hydraulic operated stern doors. The garage is used for storage and securing of the car, motorcycles and bicycles.
The lazarette is mainly used as ‘wet’ room, for storing diving equipment and fishing gear. There is also a worktop to process your freshly caught fish. After which you can immediately store it in the shock-freezer or storage freezer that are located in the lazarette.
To enlarge your change on a price catch, a fish-finder is located near the entrance to the platform. A Bauer Compact PE-250-HE breathing air compressor with a Pro Blender Nitrox generator is installed in the lazarette to fill diving bottles.
Bow thruster
The bow thruster is a Naiad VT140 fixed tunnel type, electrical driven, 132 kW. Controls in the wheel house and on both wing stations.
Stabilizers
A Naiad stabilizer system with stabilization at anchor is installed to ensure comfortable sailing and to minimize roll while you’re at anchor. The installed unit is a Naiad model 621 with two fins of each 3,49 m². The stabilizers are driven by a 30 kW hydraulic power pack, which is situated in the engine room.
Compressed-air system
An air compressor is mounted in the engine room. This compressor will serve a Kahlenberg three tone air horn. On several locations around the ship there are also work air connections, which can be used to fill fenders or to drive air tools.
Fuel system
There are fuel oil storage tanks integrated in the hull. All tanks are provided with a level indicator and interconnected by means of a manifold and fuel trim system. A Westfalia fuel separator, model OTC 3-02-1337, filtering system is lined up in this fuel transfer system. This unit enables you to clean the fuel in the tanks.
Lubricant System
A lube oil system is installed that makes it easy to change the oil from the generators and main engines. The system consists of a clean oil tank and a sump tank for dirty oil. The tanks are connected to the engines by means of a manifold and transfer pumps.
Hydraulic Installation
The boat is provided with central electric driven power pack in the engine room, which provides hydraulic pressure to the gangway, stern hatches, side boarding ladders and aft crane. The crane on the fore deck has his own dedicated power pack, which is located in the fore peak.
Ventilation system
The ventilation system is split into accommodation ventilation and engine room ventilation. The interior ventilation is a part of a complete HVAC installation. The engine compartment ventilation is based on the maximum air consumption of the engine, generators and air change of the engine room. Furthermore two (2) engine room air coolers are installed.
HVAC
The Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) is based on air supply from outside the yacht, accommodation with local and individual controllable fan coil units. The fresh air is treated by the air-handling unit and diverted throughout the accommodation spaces. The air is routed near the fan coil units and mixed. The accommodation air temperature is individually controllable in each compartment.
Fire extinguishing and detection system
A hi-fog sprinkler system is installed in the accommodation areas. A Novec fire extinguishing system is installed in the engine room. Local portable fire extinguishers are installed as specified by MCA. A salt water fire main is installed, fed by means of 2 independent driven fire pumps and hydrants supplied with nozzles and hoses according rules and regulations. In the deckhouse, near the navigation area, a fire detection cabinet is mounted. Sensors mounted in the accommodation, engine room, forepeak, garage and lazarette are connected to this cabinet. To meet the class and MCA rules, an independent portable, diesel driven emergency pump is mounted in a locker on the
bridge deck aft.
Water-maker
Three (3) H.E.M. 25/1600 Reverse Osmoses water makers, are installed in the engine room. Each with a capacity of 6000 liter per day. Two (2) of the water makers are used for the production of drinking water. The third for process water, e.g. trim water and aquarium water. Next to the water makers there are of course sand filters, UV sterilizer and Silver Ionizer..
Water heating
Two (2) boilers are placed in the garage for freshwater heating. The boilers, each 25 kW, are heated with 400 VAC, 3 phase heating elements. To achieve a good and reliable hot water supply the boilers are connected in such a way that they can work together as well as independent of each other (e.g. during maintenance).
Grey water system
One combined, grey & black water holding tank is integrated in the hull. Black and grey water will be transported by means of a JETS vacuum installation with subdivided collecting units for grey water throughout the yacht. All toilets are directly connected to the vacuum installation. All ventilation pipes will have smell filters. Special attention is given to have no black- and or grey water tank smell.
