Overview

The innovative AMELS 188 is now under construction at renowned Dutch luxury superyacht builder AMELS for delivery in spring 2018. The latest design in the yard's renowned Limited Editions range, the AMELS 188 combines advanced solutions like the AMELS Hybrid switchboard with the modern elegance and timeless pedigree of British designer Tim Heywood. The Limited Editions range, with more than 30 yachts delivered or in build, combines Dutch yacht building knowhow with proven ocean-going performance, fast delivery, the Owner's choice of interior designer and the absolute highest AMELS quality.

Features

Tim Heywood's exciting and timeless new design bears his signature shapely curves with toned, athletic lines. The four accommodation decks with high ceilings create a distinctive profile.

One of the great benefits of the Limited Editions concept is the freedom to choose your own interior designer and create your own individual vision of yachting at the highest level. AMELS invited the design duo of Pascale Reymond and Andrew Langton to create their vision of AMELS 188’s impressive interiors - featured in these brochure images.

Master Stateroom

The full-beam Owner’s Suite on Main Deck features a large folding balcony to connect with the sea (al fresco breakfast!). The mid-beam sliding doors close for a private Master Stateroom and an owner's lounge. The suite also includes a separate office, walk in dressing, and owner's bathroom. 

Water Sports and Beach Club

The large Beach Club and the Wellness Centre features a gym, sauna and Turkish steam shower - directly connected via internal stairs to the Main Saloon. The wide transom door opens to connect with the swim platform. Underwater body design eliminates unpleasant stern slamming. 

Sun Deck and Sky Lounge

The Sun Deck can be reached via the internal central staircase and elevator. The Jacuzzi on the foredeck and sun loungers on the aft deck are joined by the Sky Lounge with full option bar, massage area. This entertaining area can also be closed off by folding glass doors to enjoy spectacular views in air-conditioned comfort.

Saloons and Dining

The AMELS 188 has a light and airy Main Deck Saloon with formal dining as well as Bridge Deck Saloon with al fresco informal dining on aft deck.

VIP and Guest Staterooms

In addition to the Owner's Suite, the AMELS 188 has a Bridge Deck VIP Suite and four spacious Guest Suites on Lower Deck.

Helicopter Pad

The AMELS 188 is designed for an optional touch-and-go helipad. Elegantly integrated on Sun Deck, the helipad is suitable for your Airbus H135 or similar aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 3,000 kg.

Tenders and toys

Provisions for 1 x 23 ft tender (7 meters), 1 x 20 ft rescue/crew tender (6.2 meters), 2 x wave runners, dive gear, etc.
