Overview

The Bering 60 is part of the Exploration series, built for long range cruising with a more contemporary styling. The Bering 60 has proven to be an exceptional cruising yacht with her heavy 180,000 pound displacement with 2,300 gallons of fuel to feed her efficient twin engine package provides her owners with excellent nonstop performance traveling thousands of miles with miserly fuel consumption to visit faraway destinations.

Stepping aboard into the saloon, clean crisp lines and a greater use of fabrics and non-traditional woods suggest a more modern tone than typical full displacement trawlers. The use of large glass panels surrounding the saloon as well as the seamless transition between the saloon and galley creates a refreshingly open and airy feeling while aboard. The ultra contemporary settee provides comfortable seating on the port side as well as facing chairs alongside the entertainment center. A pop-up flat screen retracts down into the cabinet when not in use so as not to obstruct the view out the windows.

Bering Yachts welcomes customer input which allows for greater flexibility in your layout choices. The accompanying layout renderings show just several of the stateroom options available to you. The master stateroom can be located either amidships for maximum volume or forward if a greater number of guest cabins are desired. If you wish to have professional crew aboard, then dedicated crew quarters can be configured near machinery spaces with their own private access way.

The galley is a modern masterpiece, embracing a contemporary Euro design. The elevated dining table can seat up to six. Bering designers work with each client individually, selecting the appliances and galley fixtures that perfectly suit the intended interior styling theme. A wide selection of stone and synthetic counter surfaces can be chosen in addition to the flooring and cabinet materials.

The pilothouse resides on the same level as the saloon and galley. The forward dash panel provides ample space for multiple large screen displays and leaves plenty of real estate for the owner’s selection of electronics, displays, and controls. Generously sized pilothouse windows both forward and to the sides provide an exceptional view.

The upper flybridge steering station is accessed through the beautifully sculpted saloon staircase. The covered flybridge features an L-settee alongside the upper helm station as well as a day head and deck space to store a tender aft.

HULL

  • Hull constructed using A-36 marine grade steel. Bottom plates and integrated tanks sides - 8mm. Hull sides - 6 mm.
  • The hull is divided by four watertight bulkheads creating five (5) compartments.
  • Superstructure, flybridge, hard top, mast and furniture (on flybridge and on cockpit) are made of fiberglass.
  • The hull below the waterline is covered with three layers of black antifouling paint.
