Specifications

Beautiful, turn key C&N ready for new owner.

LaVerne is a production-built Nicholson 40 AC cruising sailboat. The hull is a round-bilge design with a long-chord fin keel, a rounded bow, a skeg-hung rudder, and a counter transom stern. The foredeck is fitted with an anchor roller and chain locker followed by side decks leading aft on either side of a low-profile dodger over the companionway. Stainless steel bow and stern pulpits and SS lifelines are on the aft rails.

LaVerne is a classic, turn-key, liveaboard or fun second home vessel. She comes equipped with everything needed to comfortably live and sail away today. The summer of 2020 she received brand new bottom paint, all new through-fittings, new batteries, a new shaft, stuff box, coupler, and rudder refit – bringing her to tip-top operating condition.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

In the bow, there is a vee berth that sleeps two with storage and tankage underneath, an overhead porthole hatch, and starboard hanging storage locker. The salon lies midship and is fitted with an L-shaped settee with drop-leaf table to port followed by the aft-facing navigation station. A straight settee is opposite on the starboard side followed by the U-shaped galley. Aft to port, there is a quarter cabin that sleeps two and that is fitted with hanging locker and drawer storage. Access to the engine is by means of removable panels beneath the companionway ladder, and via the lazarette.
There is a large flat screen Insignia TV mounted on the salon bulkhead, along with a blu-ray DVD player that will stay on the vessel. There is a small Whirlpool microwave on a starboard shelf in the salon which will also stay with the vessel. There are numerous large wool blankets tucked in cubbies, as well as attractive throw pillows, porthole curtains, and throw rugs that will remain onboard.
