Overview

An incredible 67m support vessel GARÇON was built by Dutch yard Damen Shipyards in 2012. GARÇON is the largest vessel in the Sea Axe range and can accommodate 21 crew and staff. GARÇON not only improves vessel operating profile and crew safety and comfort, the Sea Axe concept is also proving its worth when it comes to sustainability. The vessel exhibits superior motion behavior and significantly lower resistance through the water. This leads to a cut in fuel usage of 20% and, consequently, lower emissions.

    Lloyd's Register

    The Vessel will be classed by Lloyd's Register. The classification notation will be:
    100 A1, SSC, Mono, HSC, G6 []LMC, UMS

  2. Helicopter deck:

    The vessel is equipped with a helicopter deck with netting for a Eurocopter 365 Helicopter (or similar). Below the helicopter deck utility spaces are created according to the General Arrangement Plan.
    Helicopter landing weight 5.0 ton

    Superstructure on aft deck:

    In front and below the helicopter platform a superstructure is provided to store several equipment. Also above the superstructure equipment can be stored. The superstructure is provided with thermal insulation and is panelled.

    Boarding platform:

    Length 4000 mm Width 600 mm

    Harbinger (or equivalent) Aluminium

    The aft side of the Vessel is provided with a boarding platform, in accordance with the General Arrangement Plan.
    The platform is provided with:

    • M-block fenders at the corners, 240 x 100 mm

    • D-type fender at the transom, 100 x 100 mm with low friction top layer.

    • Integrated stairs to the main deck.

    • Two double bollards.

    • Bolidt (or equivalent) anti-slip surface of the platform deck.
