This vessel has nearly a 20' beam and offers an enormous amount of space throughout. The large covered aft deck includes a staircase (which leads to the flybridge), built-in seating with large teak table and overhead lighting. It also provides for a door on the back side of the staircase that leads directly down into the engine room/crews quarter area. There is also a transom door that accesses the crews quarters directly from the swim platform.
The side decks are full walk-around with Portuguese bridge forward with a great deal of storage and large foredeck area with built-in seating and additional storage.
When heading into the salon, the furniture is all beautifully finished and free-standing; it's all movable, which provides a great deal of flexibility and space as well as comfort compared to standard built-in furniture. As you move up into the pilothouse, it has been redesigned in 2008 to offer both port & starboard doors that access the wide side decks and provide ventilation for this area. A newly designed settee is on the starboard side forward with storage below. As you enter the pilothouse level, on the starboard side, you have a walk up to the flybridge from the pilothouse. From the port side, you have the large U-shaped well-appointed gourmet galley.
The accommodations below decks are fantastic! The master stateroom is aft and she is enormous with a smartly designed head with separate his & her areas with features for each person. The guest staterooms are also quite large with two single berths and ensuite head with stall shower in the starboard guest stateroom and a VIP stateroom forward, which shares the day head on the port side, which also includes an ensuite shower. Again, all furnished in the lavish teak and fine joinery work that is Grand Banks Yachts' standard.
The flybridge features an extremely large and well laid out floor plan with two STIDD seats forward, large settees on both port & starboard with storage below, a 1300-lb. standard hydraulic davit. Aft of the port settee on the bridge is a wet bar with grill and sink. The flybridge decking is non-skid for easy maintenance. At the aft, port side of the bridge is the wide, curved staircase to the cockpit.
There are crews quarters at the aft end of the boat that feature two berths over & under; a full head with shower, refrigerator, hanging locker & drawer storage with full stand-up headroom. This area can be accessed through a transom door from the swim platform or a port side deck door on the back side of the flybridge staircase that leads directly into the area. This also is an easy way to access the engine room.
The engine room is full height with extremely easy access to all systems onboard. Her equipment features Naiad stabilization along with hydraulic bow and stern thrusters and twin 21.5kw Onan generators with sound shields (both equipped with gas/water separators that help keep noise to a minimum). The twin C-18 (1000hp) Caterpillar engines provide power to cruise the boat anywhere at speeds between 8 and 18 knots comfortably. Her underbody is not like the older style Grand Banks which were a totally semi-displacement hull that did not provide good performance at any speeds above 10 knots. The newer style hull design is right between a planing hull and semi-displacement. We call it the “hull of versatility” because she performs so well at all these different speeds. This hull form is how all of the newer Grand Banks are designed.
