The main cabin is accessed from port and starboard doors with glass panels on top and teak panels below. The salon is filled with light from port and starboard opening windows, and the windshield forward. The lower helm is to starboard with quick access to the deck via the starboard side door. The salon has a fixed L-shaped sofa to starboard with storage under, an expandable table and two side chairs, an icemaker plus an entertainment/storage center to port.
Forward and down four steps is the fully equipped U-shaped galley to port and the guest head, with separate stall shower, to starboard. Further forward is the guest stateroom with spacious v-berth and generous drawer and locker storage. Aft of the salon and down five steps, is the full beam master stateroom and en-suite head with stall shower. MIJOs layout features a double berth as well as a single berth/lounge, with generous drawer and locker storage. The interior is gorgeous with custom woodwork and cabinetry and teak parquet floors for which Grand Banks is renowned.
The large flybridge has cushioned seating for the captain and guests forward and Bimini overhead. The visibility is great from the fully equipped helm as this is where the boat is generally run from.
Aft of the flybridge is the mast/boom for lifting the dinghy. The cockpit and side decks have all been sealed after removal of the teak and is easily maintained. The bright work is in very good condition and handrails have covers. The foredeck has two anchors and heavy duty ground tackle.
The bright and spacious salon has ample seating and dining area plus the lower helm station to starboard with an adjacent side access door.
The bright, roomy, down galley is U-shaped and is fully equipped with excellent storage in cabinets above and below the counters plus specialized racks.
The master stateroom is located aft and features a double berth, single daybed/lounge plus an en-suite head. Light and ventilation is come from the aft hatch. There is a large hanging locker, drawer and cabinet storage.
The forward stateroom has a large v-berth, storage, light and ventilation from the overhead hatch and opening windows.
Electronics are at both the lower helm and bridge helm unless otherwise noted.
The fly bridge is accessed on the port side through a series of steps. There is fore and aft seating on both sides of the forward bridge that accommodate eight people. The upper steering station is forward to starboard with a sizable area aft of the helm that has a grill and removable chairs. The flybridge canvas dodgers and bimini, which were replaced in 2010, are both in very good condition,.
MIJO features large walkaround side decks with low maintenance nonskid both here and in the cockpit. The bright work and remaining teak decks have been finished with Honey Teak. The bottom was pealed and resealed in 2006. Dinghy storage is located on the starboard side of the cabin trunk. The mast and boom are equipped to make launching and retrieving the dinghy easy.
