The Packet Craft Express was inspired by the handsome and capable surf rescue craft and pilot boats found along coastlines throughout the world. The Packet Craft Express delivers a distinctive combination of classic beauty, luxurious comfort, exemplary attention to safety and convenience, and design and construction equal to the demands of open water service.

John Henry is a very nice example of this classic yacht, with low hours and excellent maintenance.  The boat has been lightly used, spends its winters in indoor heated storage, and is ready for new adventures.

Interior Accommodations

Forward stateroom with privacy doors to cabin, head. Large, centerline island bed with shelves outboard, conveniently located reading lamps. Cedar-lined bureaus port and starboard. Two opening ports with screens, overhead hatch with screen/shade, varnished teak cabinetry, trim.

Private Head compartment with bulkhead mounted shower with curtain on overhead track, vanity with Granulon countertop and integral sink, hot and cold pressure water, mirror, storage cabinets, toilet paper holder, toothbrush holder, towel loops, opening port with screen, overhead hatch with screen/shade. VacuFlush marine toilet with independent fresh water supply discharges to holding tank (new coated aluminum holding tank 2021) or directly overboard. Privacy doors to main salon, owner's stateroom.

Main salon with L-shaped settee with storage behind. Removable dining table stowaway; pullout forms double berth. Cedar-lined hanging locker. Opening ports with screens and overboard hatch with screen/shade. Remote compressor CruiseAir 16,000BTU air conditioning/reverse cycle heat system

Stidd six-way adjustable double helm seat with arm and foot rests. Custom tilt wheel with leather rim, dual engine controls and large instrument panel with full gauges, alarm system, and space for owner/dealer installed electronics.

L-shaped settee to port with foot rest and removable table, storage underneath. Drink holders conveniently located throughout.

Deluxe fiberglass hardtop. Two Lewmar opening hatches, stainless steel handrails and integral overhead lights. Mast with anchor and steaming lights. Kahlenberg Air Horns. Cockpit service counter with sink, hot and cold water tap, drawer, storage cabinet and removable trash bin.

Aft Cockpit

Courtesy lights throughout cockpit with switch by helm and transom door. Teak cockpit steps to side decks, port and starboard, storage under. Large access hatch to generator, aft machinery spaces and bilge areas. Inward opening transom door for access to swim/boarding platform with stainless steel hardware, latch.  Large, L-shaped aft cockpit settee with cushions (cushions new 2018).

Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Systems

Twin Yanmar diesels - 6LYA-STP 370HP, fresh water cooled, rubber isolation mounts on engineered molded fiberglass stinger system, mechanical fuel pumps, four bladed matched and balanced Nibral props, double tapered shafts bolted to couplings and prop, dripless packing boxes, Aquamet 22 shafts with bearings at struts and shaft logs.  Approx 800 engine hours.  New exhaust hoses on both engines (2020)

Kohler 5.0 kw generator w/ approx 135 engine hours

Racor fuel filters (each with fuel water separator), fuel lines with swedged and threaded fittings, fuel shut off valves.

Fireboy automatic fire suppressant systems in engine room space with indicator lights/controls at helm.

Extensive sound and thermal insulation in engine compartment and adjacent machinery spaces. Access to engines provided by electric bridgedeck lift - cockpit control, or dayhatch.

Engine intake strainers and seacocks. Bennett trim tabs (2) with helm controls, indicators.

Deluxe full instrument array with watchglass lenses at custom helm console. Dual controls for throttle and shift. Custom tilt steering wheel with leather rim. Exalto windshield wipers (3) with washer system. Winshield defroster. Panel space provided for dealer/owner installation of extra instrumentation.

Electric Windlass with combination rope/chain gypsy, reversing solenoid for power up/down operation. Controls at helm and on foredeck. Includes 35# polished stainless steel Delta self launch anchor, 150' 5/16" HiTensile chain, 250' rope, deluxe chain stopper, StarBoard chain guard on anchor platform.

Six premium Lifeline AGM sealed maintenance free batteries. Two dedicated to each engine for start and two for house bank. Momentary parallel switches at helm.

Deluxe A/C and D/C electrical control panels in cabinet enclosure with circuit breakers, guages, battery test system, reverse polarity protection, indicator lights, battery charger control, room for spare switches for dealer/owner installed options.

Dual A/C 50 amp dockside power systems with inlet breakers, polarity protection, 50' shore power cord, numberous outlets with GFCI protection, interior and exterior breakers.

Marine converter/battery charger-Victron 40 amp.

Numerous 12 Volt lamps throughout interior. Courtesy lights below and in bridgedeck/cockpit with conveniently located rocker switches. Dome lights throughout interior, under hardtop, and in bilge, machinery and anchor locker areas.

Water heater, UL approved 6 gallon marine type with engine heat exchanger and A/C operation, foam jacketed hoses. Pressure water system with accumulator tank. Hot and cold taps in galley, head and cockpit service counter; showers in head and cockpit.

VacuFlush marine toilet with sanitation hose, separate fresh water supply tank. Bypass valve to direct overboard discharge or holding tank. 27 Gallon welded marine aluminum holding tank (new 2021) with sealed interior, deck pump out fitting, gauge.

Electric automatic bilge pumps (4) each with premium Ultimate, UL approved, magnetic reed switches.

UL approved bronze, thru bolted flanged seacocks on all thru hulls below waterline; ball valves on thru hulls in boot stripe. Electrical macerator pump with valve for overboard discharge
