The layout on this yacht is excellent! You walk on from a large swim step and gain access to the cockpit from wrap-around steps on both port and starboard side. This type of entry gives the yacht a "Mega Yacht" feel in a 70' vessel. The aft deck has seating for six or more and is a great place to enjoy beautiful summer evenings. There are port and starboard walk-around decks, and because the yacht has a 19' beam, the salon is still large enough to entertain guests. "Mer Soleil" is a semi-custom, galley Up, quad stations, hard top flybridge motor yacht with 4 staterooms and 4 heads.
You enter the Salon from the aft-deck through a sliding stainless steel and glass door. The salon is very well appointed and with a roomy, relaxing interior for family and friends. The cherry-wood paneling cabinetry is varnished to a high gloss finish. There is a large U-shaped sofa on the starboard side of the salon that is across from the 42" Flat panel TV which is built in the port side. The TV electrically retracts within the port side cabinet when not in use. The leather sofa seats 6-8 and is tastefully decorated with designer throw pillows. There is a custom electrically operated coffee table in front of the sofa that can be positioned as a dining table coffee table or buffet. On the port side of the salon there are two leather chairs.
Forward of the galley is the lower helm which offers perfect visibility while under way. This yacht has the option of being piloted from the air conditioned inside helm with better visibility than most raised Pilothouse cruisers.
Forward of the Salon and up 2 steps is the galley, dinette and lower helm. This area is very bright and features a U-shaped dinette to the port side and an open galley to starboard. All cabinets are cherry wood, varnished to a high gloss finish. The leather dinette seats 4 comfortably and the dinette's tabletop is inlaid burl on cherry. There is excellent counter space and ample storage. The counter tops are granite and all of the appliances are top quality.
Aft of the salon you go down a set of stairs to the master stateroom. The master stateroom is all the way aft and down in the vessel and is located beneath the aft-deck. The "Full Beam" master stateroom has a king sized bed and its own private head with tub/shower. The master is separated from the guest staterooms, which are forward, allowing the master full privacy.
VIP stateroom is all the way forward of the Yacht. This stateroom has a queen-size walk-around bed and a private head with stall shower. There is a large hanging locker and plenty of cabinets and drawers. An electronically operated bed lift gives access to additional storage for large items like suitcases.
Down the steps from the lower helm and to the port side is the guest stateroom. (3rd stateroom). There is a private access to the 3rd head with a stall shower which also doubles as the day head. This head also has another door that opens to the hallway. This stateroom features a queen bed with a nightstand, a large mirror and reading lamps. There is a hanging locker, drawer storage, TV, AM/FM stereo/CD player and decorator soft goods. An electrically operated bed lift gives access to additional storage for large items like suitcases.
Forward on the starboard side is the 4th Stateroom. This stateroom has a single bunk, a private head, hanging locker and like all of the staterooms a TV, digital air conditioning controls, VCR player and AM/FM stereo CD player. An Asko clothing Washer & Dryer are hidden behind cabinetry in this area. There is also a built in desk that makes this room perfect for an office if you do not need the fourth stateroom for guests.
The flybridge is accessed from the aft deck up molded fiberglass stairs. The flybridge is fully enclosed with a custom hard top which enables year round cruising. There is seating for 8 or more and is a great place to enjoy the views or a glass of wine before dinner.
The engine room is accessed from the aft part of the salon down a stairway in front of the master stateroom. This is a large engine room with space to access all of the mechanical equipment.
The aft deck is an entertainer's dream with an oval shaped varnished teak table that is surrounded by 6 adjustable lounge chairs with cushions. A large U-shaped settee is built in just aft of the table and comfortably seats twelve or more. There is a combo refrigerator/freezer with built in ice-maker and a sink with hot and cold running water. The solid fiberglass swim step has storage and a built in BBQ.
