Introduction and Walkthrough

4 MAL is an example of the very popular 87 Johnson Pilot House Motor Yacht.   She carries a twenty three and a half foot beam which is enormous for an 87 foot vessel.  This huge beam translates directly into huge interior volume and a truly unique layout that lends itself perfectly to both a private traveling yacht or a full service charter vessel.   Full walk around side decks do not compromise the space and feel of the main salon.  4 MAL feels more like a proper ship in a 87 foot package.  Some of her highlights include:

-        4 full staterooms

-        2 separate crew staterooms aft w/ ensuite heads

-        Crew lounge

-        CAT power and spacious engine room

-        Hydraulic bow / stern thrusters and stabilizers

-        Wireless Yacht Controller system for mobile, safe docking

-        Country kitchen style galley w/ large bar

-        Large, very open and social main salon

-        Huge open flybridge w/ hardtop, bar, dinette, grill and aft sun lounge

-        Massive aft deck with dinette, Euro style transom and oversized swim platform

-        Stern tender garage with Novurania 400 DL

-        SAT TV

-        Underwater lights

VESSEL WALKTHROUGH

4 MAL can be boarded through doors midship and aft on both sides of the yacht.  This allows for convenient boarding in all dockage scenarios.  Her teak aft deck is extremely large.  The  centerpiece is a fwd facing U shaped dinette with a recently refinished high gloss teak table.  The HI / LOW  table also has a flip down midsection which allows for middle seated guests to exit without disturbing their outboard seated friends.  Gated stairwells grace both port and starboard sides leading down to the oversized swim platform.  Neatly disguised is a centerline hydraulic tender garage housing a Novurania 400 DL yacht tender.  Full walk around side decks are easily navigated for line handling, ease of maintenance and bow access. The bow has duel anchors for med style mooring or just extra holding power to limit your swing at anchor.  For sun worshipers there is a large sun pad area on the raised foredeck.   Port side forward on the aft deck is a teak laden stairway that leads to the flybridge. On the port side walk around  is a panographic door that leads down to the crew staterooms and engine room.  Some other features include:

-        Aft deck control station on starboard quarter

-        Flip down TV with SAT capabilities and sound system

-        2 additional chairs which will comfortably allow seating for AT LEAST 8.

-        Storage under dinette seating

-        Polished Stainless steel heavy duty  safety gates which when open allow swim platform access.

Standing on the aft deck facing forward we enter the main salon through two large sliding doors.  These doors are operated pneumatically with the simple push of a button.  The doors open to reveal a stunningly luxurious high gloss mahogany yacht interior.  To port there is a Lay Z Boy recliner, sofa and a coffee table.  Immediately to starboard is a large desk and just forward of that a swivel barrel chair and circular end table. Port mid ships is a liquor cabinet and on center line in the forward part of the salon is a circular table for dining or playing cards.  On the forward salon bulkhead there is a high gloss mahogany china cabinet with stemware anchors and a large flat screen television.  There is a second large flat screen TV that flips down from the ceiling on the starboard side of the salon.  It is both versatile and comfortable.

Port side forward of the main salon is the walkthrough galley.  It has speckled dark granite counter tops, stainless steel full size refrigerator, and high gloss mahogany cabinetry.  There is a pocket door if you would like close the galley off to the salon.  She also has a port side galley panographic door that opens up to the walk-around side decks.  This allows for a private galley entrance or the ability to exit and serve the aft deck without having to walk through the main salon.  Both of these scenarios are features complimentary to yacht charter guests.  The galley has a semi open ceiling that also looks up into and has the ability to serve the raised pilot house.

Walking through the galley we arrive in the country kitchen lounge and dinette. Centerline aft, but facing forward is a large granite countertop wet bar.  Facing aft is a U shaped dinette and high gloss teak dining table.  This is a definite highlight area for 4 MAL.  Marble floors and high gloss mahogany wood work set the tone.  There is a 240 degree view through panoramic windows which helps to create an exceptional dining or cocktail experience.

The starboard side marble walkway from the salon will also lead you to the forward dining/ lounge area but not before passing the on deck day head.  This convenient feature on large yachts allows your guests to use the facilities without having to go below to the private heads.   There is another panographic door in this starboard hall way that opens up to the walk around decks.   Just forward of the day head is a stairwell leading down to the full beam master stateroom and two of the three guest staterooms.  Continuing forward is a stairwell leading up to the raised pilot house.  All the way forward on the starboard side and outboard of the dinette is a stairwell leading down to the VIP stateroom.

The split level forward VIP stateroom of 4 MAL is decorated in a high gloss birds eye maple wood.  Its blonde tone is a nice contrast and change of pace from the rich high gloss mahogany throughout the rest of the vessel.
