"Cabernet" has had significant upgrades and improvements over the last two years. Complete list available upon request.
In June of 2015 vessel left from Port Ludlow, Washington for a destination of Juneau, Alaska. Owners report an average speed over 1,500 miles of 8.2 kts and an average fuel consumption of 2.8 gallons per hour.
She has returned now and is available for showing.
A wonderful wide-body pilot house this Kady-Krogen features two staterooms. Typical of Kadey Krogen yachts she features a warm satin finished teak interior. You gain access to the cockpit area from a side boarding transom door or swim platform. Once in the cockpit there are two large double teak doors that open up to the reveal the show. Upon entering the salon one is met by a massive salon and galley area. Her wide-body design features a walkway on the starboard side only so the the port side of the salon benefits from additional space.
There are two settees one on the port side and the other on the starboard in salon so there is lots comfortable seating either for laying down or entertaining a few guests. Owners also have nice teak table in the salon with two cozy chairs. Excellent outward visibility from large windows.
The Galley is large and like most serious cruising vessel features abundant storage thru out. It is open to the salon and on the same level. It is located on the starboard side, forward of the salon.

The VIP or guest stateroom is located aft of the master stateroom on the starboard side of the companionway. This stateroom was cleverly designed to be used either as a guest stateroom or away from home office. When used as a stateroom for guests the L shaped settee pulls out to make into a large double berth with slide out. Directly above this is a pullman type berth that normally rests' against the stateroom wall. It can be pulled down to make in a large single berth. So if necessary this stateroom can sleep up to four comfortably. Additionally if a cruising couple so choose this stateroom benefits from having a a nice desk area good for computing or plotting your next destination. There are two opening doors that open to expose two hanging closets for lots of gear storage plus lots of drawers under settee and behind door.
The guest head is opposite the guest stateroom and also has a Vacuflush head, stall shower with seat and bi-fold shower door, Corian counter top and opening ports.
The pilothouse is located up and forward from the saloon / galley area. It offers excellent outward visibility for the captain and crew. There is a standard removable leather helm chair for the captain so when in port can be conveniently moved out of the way. Directly behind the helm is a large L-shaped Leather settee with a pedestal mounted table. The settee also converts to a double berth when extra sleeping space is needed and for a watch berth. Again there is plenty of ventilation with 2 overhead hatches, opening side windows and dutch style opening doors port and starboard.

Comments:
"Cabernet" ex: "Wild Her" has had only two owners her since new. Both owners have kept her in the Pacific Northwest. The original owner of this wonderful serious cruising yacht purchased her new from the local dealer at the time Grand Yachts Northwest in 1997. The boat was kept in a private single devoted boat house when not used from 1997 till 2013 when the current owners purchase her.
Prior owner cruised to Alaska many years during the Summer months. All of the interior wood floors were covered with carpet until 2013 and as a result show extremely well. Current owners are looking to move up into a bigger boat and have one picked out. Vessel truly has all systems ready to do your serious cruise now.
