Overview

The 48' Offshore is a double cabin sundeck motoryacht with cockpit, and this model is called a " Yachtfish".  The full - width aft deck overlooks the cockpit, and the cockpit is well suited for boarding and swimming. The flybridge is arranged with the helm forward and lounge seating aft. The 375 hp Caterpillar diesel engines will cruise the Offshore 48 at 16 knots (about 20 knots top),  The 48’s two-stateroom, galley-down floorplan features a salon dinette opposite the galley. A serving counter overlooks the galley, and the wide-open salon seems big for a boat this size. Additional features include a full teak interior, deck doors port and starboard in the salon, and an entryway door from the cockpit to the aft cabin—a convenient feature. The walkaround side decks are quite wide and protected with raised bulwarks.

ORIGINAL OWNER BOAT! Ordered from factory by the present owner to his own specifications. Always maintained and updated; homeport in Scituate, Mass; stored indoors every winter. New aluminum fuel tanks and updated electronics. Priced above the other 48' Offshore Yachtfish of a similar vintage, "Viesta" still represents the best value due to the Bristol condition in which this vessel has been maintained.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The Offshore 48 Yachtfisher possesses a solid hand-laminated fiberglass hull below the chine and cored hull sides above the chine; its design features a generous beam and finely veed and deep forefoot that gradually tapers to a 12-degree deadrise at the transom. This design produces a hull that is quick to get on plane and knifes cleanly through waves and chop throughout the speed range. The craft's exterior includes two tone non-skid decks as well as window frames, doors and hatches made of gelcoated fiberglass so they can't corrode like aluminum or rot like wood. Moreover, the cockpit contains a fresh water shower in a molded FRP cabinet . Below deck, the 48 features quality hand-rubbed, satin finish Burmese teak cabinetry, and teak and holly sole throughout. The salon, staterooms, heads, and galley are built with the attention to detail that Offshore has been known for since 1948.
