Nostromo Overview

A high-performance sailing sloop boasting British design and craftsmanship, NOSTROMO offers a pedigree build, immense range and lightweight transatlantic capabilities. She is a strong and fast-paced yacht on which to enjoy the thrill of sailing in all its life-affirming glory. 

 

Built by world-renowned shipyard Pendennis to be a lightweight sailing boat with autonomy at sea, NOSTROMO benefits from significantly reduced roll and heel. Her exterior design is the result of a collaboration between world-renowned Dubois Naval Architects and Redman Whitely Dixon. Defined by a striking royal blue sail her elegant design is complemented by a stylish interior.

 

NOSTROMO’s hull and rig are designed expressly for high performance under sail. With her range of 3,600 nautical miles, she is capable of crossing the Atlantic without refueling at a full under-power cruising speed of nine knots. Notable features include the four spreader Hall Spars mast and boom constructed from seamless carbon fiber. This generates a 60 percent weight reduction and advanced seakeeping capabilities. 

 

This custom-built yacht has been excellently maintained and is presented in turnkey condition. She is the ideal vessel on which to enjoy the exhilaration of fast sailing in strong winds and has a history of racing in sailing regattas. She also serves as a luxurious platform on which to while away the hours at anchor. Equally at home under sail or power, she is a family-friendly yacht with ample interior space and large exterior deck areas to enjoy in comfort.

 

A versatile layout accommodates up to nine guests. A well-appointed salon is paired with a large cockpit. A proven charter yacht that had a strong reputation on the charter market before returning to private use only, NOSTROMO offers fuel efficiency and silent cruising with space and speed – coveted offerings for an ideal charter yacht.

 

Regular maintenance and refits at Pendennis Palma and Falmouth since her 2009 build have kept her paintwork, electronics and systems in good working order, plus the addition of upgraded lighting and entertainment packages.
