Superstructures/Salon/Bridge

•  The fiberglass superstructure, with a polished gel coat exterior finishing, contains the salon and the helm station. The latter is made up of a fiberglass instrument dashboard with aluminum panels and matte carbon finishing for the navigational instruments of the engines and the appliances on board; storage space and housing for audio-video equipment on either side.
 
• The two seats at the helm stations are upholstered in leather, and fitted on a polished pear wood unit with two opening doors. The driver seat can be electrically adjusted, the co-pilot seat can be manually adjusted. This area is slightly elevated and has a matte polished teak strip floor. Between the helm station and the starboard door is the stairway leading down to the sleeping quarters, with natural teak steps and bulkheads in pear wood; completing the stairway, courtesy lights and wooden handrail complete with chrome end sections.
 
• Aft of the helm is the dining area, with elliptical steel and glass extensible table, seating for six and pear wood wall hutch for dishes, flatware, glasses and cups. On the starboard side of the salon, the well sized dinette is made up of a semicircular sofa with leather padding and a coffee table in satin-finished steel and toughened glass; accessorized by a fitted natural fiber rug. 

Companionway to Sleeping Quarters

A companionway leads to the sleeping quarters. Excellent lighting is ensured by a skylight and various built-in spotlights; the overhead has transversal staves and the bulkheads are covered with off-white vinly material with occasional horizontal wooden slats. The structural fiberglass floor is carpeted in a way that harmonizes with the rest of the decor.

 

Master Suite

• The master suite spreads across the entire beam of the boat and extends considerable toward the fore end, occupying the most important part of the yacht. Where there are no mirrors, the walls are covered with ivory vinyl fabric with horizontal wooden slats. The overhead has staves upholstered in a vinyl fabric and the pear wood fascia around the perimeter is backlit. Three wall sconces and several ceiling lamps provide lighting.

• The aft bulkhead has a vanity with a pear wood top and steel and leather ottoman. Adjacent is a large leather corner sofa that stretches along the starboard side. At the fore bulkhead, on the starboard side, is an ample pear wood locker with courtesy light. It features a clothes rack, show rack, and mirror.

• Daylight is provided by means of a stainless steel and toughened glass porthole. Drawers and a 37" Sharp Aquos TV cabinet are positioned in front of the bed. Inside the port side cabinet are a built-in minibar and two compartments with shelves and anti-roll racks. The polished pear wood master bunk crosses diagonally between the port bulkhead and the aft bulkhead; it has the bed head upholstered in vinyl fabric and front drawers.

• The lifting bed surface gives access to an ample compartments below. Two bedside cabinets at he sides of the bed have tops and drawers in polished pear wood and reading lights. The "brick size" safe with key lock is hidden in the starboard bedside cabinet. A few teak steps with pear wood rise, complete with courtesy lights, lead to the access landing for the head and companionway. This stateroom is equipped with Bose Lifestyle 35 System.

 There are two fixed windows and two stainless steel and toughened glass portholes for an excellent day lighting. Curtains are Venetian style blinds in ivory aluminum, with laminated space behind curtains. The structural fiberglass floor is carpeted in a way that harmonizes with the rest of the decor. The vents and controls for the air conditioning are located so as to ensure easy handling and the best possible conditioning.

 

Master Ensuite Bathroom

• The landing leads to the large master head. At the bulkhead is an overhead locker with a lacquered gloss finish and a mirror. A cabinet with transparent glass top holds a ceramic wash basin and special anti-rol racks. The faucets and accessories in the bathroom are all in a chrome color. Porcelain water closet.

 The bulkheads are laminated, while the overhead has transversal staves, upholstered in a vinyl fabric; the floors are in teak strips with a matte polished finishing. Ample ivory fiberglass corner shower box with Plexiglas door and stainless steel handle, light alloy shower column with object-holder and with single control mixer faucet and blower.

• There is a teak grill platform. The overhead includes: and extractor fan with an independent switch and built-in chrome spotlights, an outlet from the air/CO system of the stateroom.

Guest Cabin Port Side

• Near the VIP bathroom the port side guest cabin is located with partially overlapping single beds, bed heads upholstered in vinyl fabric, drawers underneath and pear wood bed frames. The bulkheads are upholstered in an "off-white" vinyl fabric. Day lighting in these cabins is guaranteed by a stainless steel and toughened glass porthole. Curtains are Venetian style blinds in ivory aluminum with laminated space behind curtains.

• This stateroom is equipped with an independent single CD stereo system with two 30w DC satellite speakers. Structural fiberglass floors are carpeted. The overhead has transversal staves, is upholstered in a vinyl material and has built-in spotlights. The vents and controls for the air conditioning are located so as to ensure easy handling and the best possible conditioning.

Guest Cabin Starboard Side

• The guest cabin is located aft of the VIP stateroom, on the starboard side, with single bunks side by side and drawers underneath; bed frames in polished pear wood and bed head upholstered in vinyl fabric. Over the beds, internally laminated hanging shelf units run along part of the cabin perimeter, a locker with an upholstered vinyl fabric interior clothes rack, inside mirror and lighting. The doors on the units and lockers are in polished pear wood.

• Between the two beds is an anti-roll nightstand of polished pear wood and a reading light on each side. Day lighting in this cabin is guaranteed by two stainless steel and toughened glass portholes. Curtains are Venetian style blinds in ivory aluminum; laminated spaces behind curtains.

• This stateroom is equipped with an independent single CD stereo system with two 30w DC Satellite speakers. Structural fiberglass floors are carpeted. The overhead has transversal staves, is upholstered in a vinyl material and has built-in spotlights. The vents and controls for the the air conditioning are located so as to ensure easy handling and the best possible conditioning.

Guest Cabin Bathroom

• This cabin can be accessed both from the starboard guest cabin and the companionway. Ceramic wash basin resting on a transparent glass top, single control chrome pressure tap, polished pear wood cabinet underneath and hanging locker with lacquered gloss-finish doors and a mirror. Porcelain wash closet.

• The bulkheads and overheads are laminated. Matte polished teak strip floor. The spotlights, an outlet from the cabin air/CO system. Stainless steel portholes with toughened glass, laminated space behind curtains and ivory aluminum Venetian style blinds

• Ample ivory fiberglass shower box with Plexiglas door and stainless steel handle, light alloy shower column with object holder and chrome single control mixer faucet and blower. There is a teak grill platform.

VIP Stateroom

• Generously sized cabin with bulkheads upholstered in an off-white vinly material, with horizontal staves and a mirror at the fore bulkhead. The overhead has transversal staves and is upholstered in the same manner as the bulkheads, with built-in spotlights and a pear wood fascia around the perimeter. A double bunk is located at the center of the cabin, with vinyl-upholstered bed head, polished pear wood bed frame and drawers underneath.

• Bed Side cabinets on each side with polished pear wood shelves and reading lights. On the starboard side the locker room spreads out, with polished pear wood opening doors, inside with off-white vinyl fabric, shelf, shoe rack, clothes rack, interior lighting and inside mirror. On the starboard side vanity with leather ottoman and a TV cabinet at the bulkhead with 20" Sharp LCD TV.

• Daytime lighting is provided by two stainless steel and toughened glass portholes and a skylight with a port lid that can double up as an emergency exit. curtains are ivory venetian style blinds, and the spaces behind curtains are laminated.

• This stateroom is equipped with an independent single Bose DVD/CD/ AM-FM Stereo with two 30W DC satellite speakers, one 50W sub woofer and remote control. Structural fiberglass floors are carpeted. The vents and controls for the air conditioning are located so as to ensure easy handling and the best possible conditioning.

VIP Bathroom

• The bulkheads and overheads are laminated. The ceramic wash basin rests on a transparent glass top, a polished pear wood cabinet underneath, with doors and a shelf; hanging locker with lacquered gloss finish doors and mirror in the porcelain wash closet. Matte polished teak strip floor. The overhead includes: and extractor fan with an independent switch and built-in chrome spotlights, and outlet coming from the air/CO system of the stateroom.

• Stainless steel portholes with toughened glass, laminated space behind curtains and ivory aluminum Venetian style blinds. Ample ivory fiberglass shower box with Plexiglass door and a stainless steel handle, light alloy shower column with object-holder and with single control mixer faucet and blower. There is a teak grill platform. Chrome faucets.

Galley/Dinette

• The galley/dinette is accessed from the deck by means of a fiberglass spiral staircase with teak treads and courtesy lights. A stainless steel and glass porthole is located along the stairway. They galley work area is made up of a polished pear wood “L-shaped” cabinet and hanging lockers with aluminum and satin-finished glass.

• The counter surface is made of slatted wood. A triple corner sink of stainless steel including single control pressure tap with extractable blower and a four-ring ceramic glass hob are built into the counter. The overhead cabinet has a built-in stainless steel vent hood. An aired electrical oven with toughened glass and stainless steel front panel and a dishwasher are built-in, along with some anti-roll racks.

 A 106/53 gals. Fridge/freezer with built in ice maker is installed to the extreme left of the unit. The flooring consists of matt polished teak strips. Stainless steel and toughened glass porthole and space behind curtains in vinyl material and laminated. Curtains are Venetian style blinds in ivory aluminum. Next to the galley, the dinette comprises a sofa at bulwarks upholstered in fabric, a folding table of slatted wood at bulwarks, and two fabric ottomans. A large locker is built into the space under the stairs.

• The dinette area is also equipped with hanging shelf units of pear wood with aluminum and stain-finished glass doors. This room is equipped with a single CD AM/FM stereo system with two 100W speakers mounted in the stairwell column and a 22” LCD TV at bulkwarks. The structural fiberglass floor in this area is in matt polished teak wood strips. The bulkheads and the overhead are covered in a vinyl material. Lighting is provided by built-in spotlights. The vents and controls for the air conditioning are located so as to ensure easy handling and the best possible conditioning.

Crew Cabin/Head

• The crew cabins may be accessed from either the galley/dinette or the cockpit by means of a hatchway and a ladder of stainless steel and teak. The fore cabin is fitted with single bunks with afterpeak underneath, reading light and a locker with lacquered doors, clothes rack and internal light. The aft cabin features a single berth and a compartment holding a full, separate washer-dryer.

• The bulkheads as well as the overhead are upholstered in an ivory vinyl fabric. Daylight is guaranteed in each cabin by a stainless steel and toughened glass porthole; overhead built-in spotlights. Fabric curtains are used and the space behind the blinds is laminated in ivory color. The doors are made of lacquered marine plywood.

• The structural fiberglass floors in the two cabins are covered with carpeting. Only the fore cabin has a car stereo single CD system with two 50 W independently controlled loudspeakers, while each cabin features an independent air/con system. There is a bathroom between the cabins with laminated bulkheads and overhead and built in spotlights.

• The sink unit has a travertine marble top, a mirror and a single control faucet; the fiberglass shower stall has a grilled platform, a shower curtain and a light alloy shower column with object-holder and single control extractable faucet and blower. The flooring consists of teak and fiberglass.

• The bathroom has a connection from the air/co system and an extractor fan with an independent control. The landing between the two cabins contain the steel-and teak ladder. The structural fiberglass floor is covered in matte polished teak wood. Special attention has been paid to the sound proofing of the side bulkheads, that will be built of a sandwich material with a closed cell core and a thermal protective and sound absorbent material towards the engine room.

Engine Room

• The engine room can be accessed through a watertight door in painted L. A. from the companionway for the crew quarters. It addition to the main engines and gen sets, this room also contains the air conditioning compressors, electric pumps, batteries, fresh water autoclave, automatic FM200 fire extinguisher system and all of the accessories relating to the propulsion units. Gen sets – 2 X 2 / 23 kw.

• The main engine exhaust manifolds are made of insulated stainless steel; fiberglass mufflers are located in the bulwarks. The gen sets have independent exhaust manifolds with mufflers and smoke/water separators. Air intakes are positioned in the bulwarks to provide air flow, with a remote closure system whilst the engine room blowers allow a continuous change of air.

• The lighting of this area is provided by watertight fixed explosion-proof neon lights. The bulkheads and overhead are covered with a sound absorbent fireproof closed cell material. All of the apparatus are labeled, as are the valves and manifolds to allow for easy identification. There is a watertight camera on the overhead connected with a 7” (16:9 LCD) monitor at the helm station, along with the sensors for the smoke alarm system.

Bilge System

• Bilge drainage is guaranteed by electric pumps with manual controls in the engine room connected up to a manifold with rapid closure valves that allow for suction in all of the various areas aboard. In case of need, it is possible to connect the drainage system up to a twin pump that is usually used as a fire-fighting pump.

• Each area of the bilge (bow and engine room) is fitted with a Rule 3800 immersed pump, and two automatic level sensors: the first triggers the pump and the second triggers an acoustic alarm. In the engine room there is a free drainage outlet with flexible tube. All of the gate valves are labeled for easy identification. Integrated into this system, the main engine sea water intakes are equipped with by pass valves that allow, in case of emergency, the engines themselves to discharge water from the engine room bilge.

Anti Corrosion and Cathodic Protection

• The relevant metallic parts of the boat are connected together and with the zinc anodes; the zincs are installed near the immersed metallic parts. There are double zincs for added protection.

Electrical System

 24 V service system: Utilizes regulation cables and is powered by 660 Amp/h lead batteries that are recharged by the port engine alternator or from three 80 Amp battery chargers powered by the generators or the shore power.

• Engine starter system: Utilizes regulation cables and is powered by two lead battery groups that are paralleled to provide a total of 480 Amp/h that are recharged from the starboard engine alternator or from the battery chargers. A battery paralleling system allows, by means of the service batteries, the main engines to be started up even when the engine starter batteries are low.

• 220 V 60 Hz system: Powered by two 23 Kw 60 Hz Kohler generators or from the shore power. The circuits powered by this system are: the battery chargers, the boiler, the various electrical outlets, the electrical appliances in the galley, the air conditioning and television/Hi-Fi systems. There is also a 12 V system that is used for the navigational equipment, stereo systems, and anything else that does not run on 24 V.

• The control panel for the appliances on board is located at the helm station and is equipped with toggle switches and digital gauges. The main power panel is located in the engine room and is fitted with circuit breakers and fuses. A secondary power panel, with circuit breakers, is installed in the galley to allow direct control of the various household appliances installed.

Propulsion

 "Free Spirit" is propelled by two MTU 16V2000 M91 diesel engines of 2000 hp at 2350rpm each, coupled to (2) ZF 2555 reverse-reduction gears with a reduction ratio of 2,333:/1 and trolling valve. 

 Hydraulic pumps are coupled to the reduction gears for the Arneson steering system and the 24Kw bow thruster. In the event of main maneuvering system failures the boat is equipped with a secondary emergency steering system located in the cockpit. Propulsion is handled by two ASD15 Arneson groups with hydraulic trim and steering. 

 2 five-blade propellers in nickel-aluminum-bronze alloy.
