50' Post Marine Motor Yacht YARDITA

Vessel Walk Through

The 50’ Post Marine Motor Yacht YARDITA is a wide boat, which makes for a very big cockpit with nearly 200 square feet of working space. The 16' 11" beam allows room for a good-sized bait-prep station to port, with a deep sink and tackle storage in drawers underneath, and a deep Cruisair refrigerator unit to starboard. In the middle, there's a sturdy aluminum ladder up to the flybridge, a counter that opens up to the engine room below, and beefy sliding door leading into the saloon. There are two cavernous fish boxes in the cockpit sole, and massive stainless cleats and rod holders mounted into the gunwales.

But the 50' Post Marine YARDITA isn't just about sportfishing. The accommodations below are first-class for entertaining or cruising. The extra-wide beam provides a spacious feel, augmented by the light tone of the upholstery, carpeting and headliner. The salon is beautifully appointed, with finely crafted, solid-teak cabinetry and paneling, all brilliantly varnished.

In one corner, there's a bar with an icemaker. A massive, faux-leather settee faces another in the opposite corner that wraps around a dining table. Backing this is the entertainment center with a large-screen Sony Trinitron TV and Bose Theatre stereo system. The galley is three steps down and set apart by a gleaming, teak-topped counter. The L-shaped galley counter is the ubiquitous Corian with a deep, molded-in sink and a full-sized refrigerator/freezer paneled in matching teak.

A two-burner electric stove top waits underneath a counter-top panel and a convection/microwave oven is mounted neatly into the cabinet. All-in-all, it's a workspace that's as functional as it is attractively appointed.

Two more steps down toward the bow is where you'll find the three separate staterooms. The first guest room to port has twin over/under bunks and a good-sized, cedar-lined hanging locker. The second guest room is up in the bow, with a full-sized berth on the starboard side and a single upper bunk crossing over from the port side. Again, there's a cedar-lined locker as well as large drawers under the bigger bunk, not to mention apartment-sized over/under washer and dryer tucked inside a cabinet. There are some options available with this layout. These two staterooms share the day head, which is a roomy compartment with a nifty cedar linen locker and a separate shower stall.

The owner's stateroom is amidships on the starboard side, and boasts a walk-around queen-sized berth, cedar locker and cupboards, and a built-in TV/VCR. A separate head features an enclosed shower stall, a built-in pull-out hamper, more cedar linen cupboards, and a vanity with a molded-in sink and attractive stainless-and-brass faucet.

The creature comforts below decks are delightful, but it's up in the flybridge that you really get a feel for the Post 50, like the rest of the bow side and more facing forward in front of the helm station. The steering wheel ist, there's plenty of room up there, with comfortable lounge seating fore-and-aft along the portcentered.  There is good visibility across the bow and down into the cockpit, even through the full 360-degree enclosures. The optional fiberglass hard top is supported by massive welded-aluminum tubing.

At the wheel, there's acres of room across the console for any imaginable arrangement of DGPS, fishfinders, or other electronics. Directly in front of the stainless wheel is the Detroit control system which accurately monitors all the functions of the twin Detroit Series-60 825 HP diesels.
