Cream coloured teak hull liveaboard junk with extra-ordinary 2800 sq ft of homely ambiance and privacy:
When this junk was built, they used properly cured teak wood that is hard to get by nowadays.
A major refit in 2005 added an extra top-deck to create more space for a family of 5 and a subsequently major refit in 2011 by he current owners changed the hull to a -less maintenance intensive- cream color , which compliments the teak wood beautifully. The interior was transformed from a traditional looking junk to a light and more spacious modern feeling liveaboard. Living in wood creates good vibes all around: cool in summer and warm in winter... less air-con is needed.
The entire boat features oiled longtitudinally laid teak planking with white caulking. The combination of lacquered paint , varnished doors, wooden venetian blinds and the warm wide planked, non varnished floor is strikingly beautiful. Top quality sanitary ware, doorhandles, light switches, dimmable lighting and other relevant hardware makes for an upmarket designer home experience. This yacht needs very little to make it your own in terms of decoration. Everything is spaced out right.
A (corporate) berth in Gold Coast Marina is negotiable.
Lay out
The entrance to the main deck is on starboard where the engine controls are located. From starboard entrance forward wide comfortable steps lead to the lower deck.
The port side entrance is incorporated in the large Lshaped open plan galley.
The entire living space is full width with opening sliding tinted windows. On the starboard side aft teak wood steps lead to the upperdeck.
The upperdeck currently is a study/office with opening doors to a covered outdoor lounge deck from where you have a perfect seaview without anyone being able to see you.
Steps leading down from the upperdeck terrace take you to the sundeck.
Going to the lower deck: the landing is used for the washer and dryer and a huge fridge/freezer. Upfront is a large smart red lacquered V shaped office which could easily be turned into another bedroom.
The wide corridor going aft leads to 2 twin cabins with a red lacquered shared bathroom, a single room en suite and the master ensuite aft, the master is very light due to 2 large hatches on the stern .
You will find ample storage space in each of the cabins and the landing.
