Overview

The Viking 50 is best described as a scaled down version of the Viking 53 Convertible that was introduced a few years earlier. She's built on a modified V-hull with a relatively wide beam, a well flared bow, and balsa coring in the hull sides. The three stateroom includes an amidships master. Washer and dryer is standard and the salon is open to the galley and dinette. The standup engine room has direct access from the cockpit. The superb bridge layout has seating for eight. At nearly 60,000 the Viking 50 is no lightweight. Powered with 820 hp Man engines cruises at 26 knots and a top end speed of over 30 knots.
