The Viking 60’ motor yacht also known as the Sport Yacht offers superb accommodations with amenities not found in yachts of this size. The arrangement plan, which provides a variety of living places, is ideal for a couple or family cruising. It affords maximum privacy for owner and guests. In addition, to the three (3) double staterooms there are essentially three distinct and separate living areas. The walk around side decks are a welcome asset particularly when it comes to close quarter’s maneuvering. The aft deck is striking not only from its spaciousness, but its livability. The large windows genuinely afford beautiful views. A few steps up from the aft deck is the completely enclosed climate controlled pilothouse and the main salon is just a few steps below.
The 60’ VIKING offers an exceptionally comfortable aft deck providing far more than a typical aft deck, it is a second salon. The side windows open and together with the wing doors and the aft door make this a very enjoyable fresh air lounge. With everything closed and the dual zone air conditioning on, you have a fully climate controlled second salon. Forward is a built-in full service bar that includes a sink, refrigerator and storage. Above is the custom built-in teak bar and below, a storage locker. This is a delightful area for entertaining with a variety of environments possible.
The air-conditioned pilothouse is up just a few steps and affords superb shelter along with additional lounges and a fabulous panorama.

From the aft deck down a few steps is the cockpit. This 60 is capable of serious fishing. She is fully fish rigged. The versatile cockpit offers many options. There is a custom built-in propane BBQ on the port side and loads of storage. There is a transom door to the integral swim platform. This is a perfect place for virtually every type of water sports activity. Dinghy access is easily accomplished from the large swim platform and cockpit. The cockpit is comfortable and multi-functional adding a greatly sought after and highly appreciated amenity to any cruising yacht.

Primary access to the upper sun deck is from the cockpit with a custom ladder on the starboard side. The deck has a safety railing that makes this a flexible use area. The custom ladder has an air intake built-into one of the legs so that it is well positioned for clean fresh air for a dive compressor. A Dunnage stowage box is on the port side adjacent to the davit. Secondary access to the sun deck is aft from the pilothouse. The Marquipt 600lb davit makes this area a very capable stowage platform for a variety of items.
The lower salon affords a sumptuous environment filled with natural light from its large windows affording phenomenal views yet providing a quiet place to get away or become involved in your favorite television show, movie or music using the complete home entertainment system in a soft relaxing atmosphere. The entertainment systems are extensive and are located throughout the yacht. TracVision satellite television reception is available in the Salon as well as the three staterooms and the pilothouse. Up to four individual satellite receivers can be installed with each providing independent channel selection. In addition, there is an XM satellite radio receiver. These options combined with the CD and DVD. The recently upgraded flat panel wide screen television is built into the custom starboard joinery. When spending a great deal of time on a yacht you quickly find the ability to have your own space is welcome. Furnishings include an L-shaped port side settee with storage and Lucite coffee table. The carpeting is a soft beige. The forward galley counter is mirrored on the salon side and along with a mirrored aft bulkhead adds depth to the open feeling. Conveniently located, it is on the same level as the salon, forward on the port side. An open counter separates the two spaces and is designed to offer exceptional working or service space while satisfying the most demanding chef. It is U-shaped in configuration with teak joinery, generous custom drawers and cabinets that maximize storage and access. The large counter top easily doubles as a buffet or bar for entertaining.
Adjacent to the galley on the starboard side is a dinette that is designed for multi-purpose use for dining or as an office area. There is a complete audio system for entertainment together with the captain and two companion Stidd helmsman seats makes this area exceptionally comfortable. An honest windshield with wipers and washers you must agree is unique for a yacht of this size. Aft and on either side are built-in lounges with storage, ideal for relaxing. The port side has an adjustable pedestal/map table perfect for drinks and snacks, as well as navigation. The pilothouse significantly increases one comfort not only with the dual climate control system, but shelter from the elements ensuring independence and piece of mind. There is an abundance of storage from the full walk-in and second full height cedar lined wardrobes, loads of drawers and cabinets. The bath is forward on the port side and affords a full height and spacious stall shower. There is a built-in vanity with a sink and storage. Adjacent is a large storage locker and a full height linen closet.
The two double guest staterooms are forward each with its private bath offering exceptional accommodations (which has a new mattress and custom bedding in 2010). The forward cabin is a sumptuous VIP suite and larger in size than typical for a 60’ yacht, with its centerline queen size bed. Aft is an ensuite large bath with a generous full sized stall shower. The toilet is Sealand VacuFlush fresh water and there is a built-in vanity with sink and storage. The stateroom is wired for telephone and CAT5 as well as intercom.
The second guest cabin is on the starboard side with classic style single upper and lower berths. Its head is forward and can be accessed both from the cabin as well as the companionway. The laundry is accessed from the forward companionway. There is a separate Kenmore washer and dryer.
Excellent lighting, easy access to the various pieces of equipment and a full height easy entry makes this everything you wished for. The entry area has parts storage and the double soundproof doors keep machinery noise to a very respectable level. Equipment is placed so that it can be serviced. The two generators are housed in a sound attenuation box that provides large openings for serviceability. Also, in the engine room is the reverse osmosis water maker. Four battery banks provide direct and back up power through switches for 2 main engines, house and inverter. The inverter powers critical ships systems in case of a shut down.
