De Amstel, Netherlands - the Dutch quality

De Amstel, Netherlands is an old shipyard founded in Ouderkerk in 1908. The company continued the traditions of the old Dutch shipbuilders. Up until 1970 the shipyard was specialized in the steel vessels and tugs of small size, and until 1975 it built the yachts with the length of up to 56 meters. Later, it began to build the large motorboats.

Unfortunately, De Amstel is currently liquidated. The company was put up on sale in 1986, but only in the late 90's it announced about the bankruptcy. The production site has been used for over 10 years for the placement and storage of the pleasure boats. In 2010, the shipyard was closed permanently, and some of the buildings were destroyed.

De Amstel, Netherlands built the custom made yachts and ships for sale. Like many other Dutch shipyards, the ships were produced with a steel hull that provided the excellent seakeeping. These boats can withstand the strong impact and are suitable for the northern seas.

The De Amstel yachts are rare in the market. This is a real rarity. Many vessels were restored and are now used for commercial purposes. There are the connoisseurs among private customers. These are the reliable yachts that can do a lot and they are still known among the sailors.
