DOWNEASTER - born in the 70s
DOWNEASTER is a yachts range created by Down East Yachts, Incorporated in the 70-80-ies of the last century. The American shipyard did not exist for a long time - from 1974 to 1981, but during that period of time it managed to implement some interesting projects.
The model range of DOWNEASTER includes four yachts: 38, 32, 41 and 45 feet. The latest model was produced in 1980, and between 1981 and 1982 the company stopped its production. However, it is known that one of DOWNEASTER was built in 1988.
Despite the short existence, the company managed to produce over four hundred yachts (or 396, according to some sources). This is approximately one boat per week. Such scale of production is really unique - the yachts of this class usually take much more time.
DOWNEASTER have a rig, it is convenient and easy to use as all the American yachts, available for the ordinary buyer. Despite the fact that they are no longer produced, DOWNEASTER can be seen in all the corners of the world. They are comfortable and allow you to travel without hiring a captain and the crew. Renovated and prepared for the voyage, the ship will give you a good handling, high-speed and comfort.
