HANSE

HANSE - the largest manufacturer of sailboats

HANSE Yachts is a German manufacturer of sailing and motor yachts. The company is located in Greifswald (Germany) on the shore of the Baltic Sea.

HANSE Yachts is one of the three largest companies in the world engaged in the production of the sea sailing yachts, according to the number of output. It owns the following brands: Hanse, Dehler, Moody, Fjord, Varianta, Sealine.

The company was founded on the site of the old shipyard. It was established in 1990 by Michael Schmidt, the winner of the Admiral's Cup in 1985. The first boat was Hanse 291. 3 years later, the yacht range has grown significantly. By 2003 it has already included 8 models of yachts up to 53 feet in length.

For more than 10 years HANSE Yachts has specialized exclusively in the sailboats. By 2005, the company repurchased the capacities of the Fjord Swedish shipyard, and a year later began to produce the marine speedboats. In 2007 the brand was bought by British Moody (sailboats), and the company became public. Two years later, Dehler Yachtbau entered HANSE Yachts, and in 2013 - the English brand Sealine was also added.

The modern range of the company consists of a boat Hanse (8 models), Dehler (6 models with the length from 29 to 46 feet), two boats Moody (41-54 feet), Fjord (4 boats with the length of 36-48 feet), Varianta (37- and 44 feet boats) and Sealine (cruising, racing yachts, yachts with a flybridge).
