Henry B. Nevins, Inc. - the yachts for perfectionists

Henry B. Nevins, Inc. Is a company founded by Henry Nevins in City Island (New York, USA) in 1907. Being an experienced naval architect and yacht builder, Henry bought the shipyard and began to produce the custom-made motor and sailing yachts. He worked not only on the racing, and cruise ships, designed for the wealthy owners, but also on the small barges and tugs for the US companies.

Henry Nevins owned the unique technology. Being a perfectionist, he created the wood processing production at the shipyard and began to produce his own glue. The results justified the approach: the Henry B. Nevins, Inc. shipyard built the best boats at that time that received awards and won in the races and regattas.

The company collaborated with the US Navy, during the Second World War they built the warships. After the war, the shipyard returned to the private and commercial shipbuilding. In 1950, Nevins died, and 4 years later the shipyard was sold. In 1962 it was closed.

The yachts of Henry B. Nevins, Inc. have a unique quality and are able to compete even with the modern vessels - after the reconstruction and repair. Attention to detail - down to the lumber that was produced and processed directly at the shipyard - demanded high costs, but a lot of people made their decisions to buy these ships.
