MULDER YACHTS

MULDER YACHTS - the Dutch family shipyard

MULDER YACHTS is a shipyard that produces the vessels in Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk, the Netherlands. Established by Dirk Mulder in 1938, the shipyard became the famous Dutch yachts-building organization. Mulder is still holding his position, it is a traditional family business. They are building the custom and semi-custom vessels.

When Dirk Mulder Sr. founded his business in 1938, he was 27 years old. At that time, the wooden boats were popular. The company produced the rowing canoes and other vessels designed for sporting purposes. Also, the ships made of mahogany were made for sailing. Solid and reliable, they ensured safety of the owners. Later the shipyard will switch to more modern materials, having improved the vessel design.

The first motor boat was built at the shipyard in 1953. It was 7.5 meters long. So there was a predecessor of Super Favorite Cruiser - the fast cruising boat. In 1984, the shipyard was transferred to 22-year-old Dirk Robert Mulder - the founder of the company turned 72 and he decided to retire. The new head began the production of the Futura boats and created the improved Favorite Cruiser - the Favorite Superior ship.

In the 90s the company began production of the superyachts of Mulder Flybridge. The best boat was Mulder 74 Flybridge. The luxury boat with mahogany finishing was awarded the title of "Best Yacht" at the HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show in 1998.
