Performer - the mysteriously disappeared shipyard

Performer is an American shipyard from Compton, California. The company is building the fiberglass boats. The history of the shipyard began in 1954. During this year the company began to build its own production site for construction of the hulls of cruise ships and small motor yachts. For the first 5 years of work the shipyard built about 300 boats. The founder and head of the project at the time was Max Boral.

Since 1961, the traces of the company were lost. The legacy of this shipyard includes hundreds of cruising yachts and small ships. They are valued by the collectors and connoisseurs of boats with an unusual history. What happened to the yard is unknown.

You can buy the boats under this brand now directly from the owners or brokers. All vessels are made of fiberglass and have a rigid hull. They are reliable due to the fact that the manufacturer used innovative materials together with traditional wood to produce the frame.

The ships have a classic design: being one of the first that used fiberglass, the shipyard did not begin to experiment with the appearance of the yachts. They look like boats built by Fiber Glass Products.

It is possible that over time, the shipyard became a division of Allfin Industries. The leaders of the shipbuilding organization were collaborating with this company. And Allfin Industries could be interested in the shipyard technology.
