Detailed Description
Overview
WEE LASS is a virtually new Dyer “Glamour Girl” launch built by The Anchorage Inc. (Dyer Boats) in Warren, Rhode Island. First unveiled in the nineteen-fifties as a stylish, versatile utility launch, this classic design combines elegant lines with everyday practicality, making it equally at home as a yacht tender, harbor launch, dayboat, runabout, picnic boat, or Downeast day cruiser. This example stands out with both tiller and wheel steering, a reliable twenty-nine horsepower Yanmar diesel showing approximately twenty-eight hours, and a custom aluminum trailer. Inspectors will find her excellent mechanically, structurally, and cosmetically, fully turnkey and ready to go.
Hull and deck
The fiberglass hull and deck are finished in striking Fighting Lady Yellow gelcoat, with a bilge drain plug for easy service. Hardware includes four Wichard stainless folding pad eyes and four custom stainless deck handrails for secure handling. A teak swim platform with ladder and a custom boarding post simplify water access, while flag staff sockets at the bow and stern add classic detail. A custom lifting bridle with attachments supports tender duty, and a bespoke binocular/cup/phone holder mounted on the engine box keeps essentials at hand. Comfort and protection come from a collapsible spray dodger in Sunbrella Oyster White with a matching cockpit cover extension, complemented by green-and-white Sunbrella cockpit cushions. The outfit is complete with a fuel dip stick and fuel cap key, a manual bilge pump, a boat hook, handheld flares valid until September twenty twenty-six, a paddle, a throwable PFD, a Danforth S600 nine‑pound anchor with one hundred fifty feet of rode, assorted fenders and lines, and a fire extinguisher.
Electronics and navigation
At the helm, a Yanmar engine panel provides clear readouts, complemented by a Raymarine I‑40 depth sounder for confident shoal awareness. Dual USB charging ports keep devices powered, and USCG‑compliant navigation lighting includes a removable stern light for simple stowage when tendering or dayboating.
Machinery and electrical
Power comes from a Yanmar 3YM‑30AE twenty‑nine horsepower diesel showing approximately twenty‑eight hours as of May twenty twenty‑five, mated to a Kanzaki KM2P‑1 transmission with a two point two one to one ratio. The driveline features a stainless prop shaft, a bronze three‑blade propeller, and a bronze rudder for smooth, dependable handling. Steering is versatile with a five‑spoke stainless wheel fitted with a “necker’s knob” alongside a tiller, and throttle response is precise via an Ultraflex control. A Rule five hundred GPH bilge pump supports dewatering, and a twelve‑volt starting/house battery supplies ship’s power.
Trailer
A custom 2023 Venture aluminum single‑axle bunk trailer rated at three thousand five hundred pounds comes with the boat, complete with a spare tire and mount and bearing buddies, making storage, launching, and transport straightforward for a tender, dayboat, or runabout.
Broker remarks
WEE LASS is a standout among classic harbor launches: a first‑owner boat, specified without compromise and kept in near‑perfect condition. For buyers seeking a timeless small yacht with real‑world utility—whether as a yacht tender, harbor launch, or elegant dayboat—this example is a must‑see and comes highly recommended.
