day 1Alesund

Alesund You’ll have a thrilling ride on a seaplane after your arrival to Alesund, but before going to your luxury yacht, you’ll have some time to see the sights of this peninsula town. It was completely burnt down in 1904 and restored in a Scandinavian art nouveau style. You’ll admire turrets, spires, gargoyles, and visit artisanal shops and museums.

day 2Alesund to Geiranger Fjord

Get up a bit earlier if you’d like to see the Geiranger Fjord, the Jewel of the Fjords. Abandoned farms cling to almost perpendicular rocks and waterfalls cascade into brilliant waters, the most famous of which is the Seven Sisters while Suitor Falls is on the opposite shore. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site so you’ll witness wildlife on the slopes of hills and in limpid waters.

day 3Geiranger Fjord to Maloy

The cruise will take you one sunlit night because the Midnight Sun will really be shining. On the way, your yacht may pass through mist from the waterfalls. This small fishing town is known the world-over as an exporter of cod and herring. You can visit hidden inlets and neighboring hamlets or fish for salmon.

day 4Maloy to Floro

This village’s economy is based on fishing and shipbuilding, but the North Sea oilfields have made it into an oil-processing place. Rivers and lakes surround Floro, just a step away from a great number of adventures in the open. Only in this particular area is there a glacier (called Alfot) where you can arrange to have a tour.

day 5Floro to Flam

As the night is still lit by the Midnight Sun, you’ll sail to Flam – a picturesque town with multi-colored houses and snow-capped mountains towering over it. You can drive to Stegastein Viewpoint and survey the sea below from a height of 2,000 feet. After that, you’ll go 12 miles to Flam by railway, crossing rivers and deep ravines with cascading waterfalls.

day 6Flam to Balestrand

A short morning voyage will bring you to Balestrand, a creative center located where two fjords meet. You can visit the unusual St. Olaf’s stave church built in 1894 for the only Englishwoman in the town and see the visiting vicars that still serve it. You’ll be tempted to try jet skiing on the tranquil waters

day 7Balestrand to Bergen

A single night sail will take you to Bergen, the thousand year old second largest city in Norway. You can moor to the Hanseatic-style wharf. Here, you’ll see brightly colored wooden edifices and after visiting the old stronghold at Bergenhus or the aquarium, you can fly home.
