Motor Yachts For Sale

Motor yachts embody comfort, freedom, and prestige on the water. Designed for extended voyages, they offer amenities comparable to the finest hotel suites, letting you enjoy the sea in total luxury.

In the catalog below, you’ll find both new and pre-owned models, and our brokers will guide you in choosing the perfect yacht to match your preferences and budget.

1. The Motor Yacht Purchase Process

With over 17 years of experience, our lead broker Andrey Shestakov will guide you in selecting the perfect yacht. He also works with trusted brokers worldwide to guarantee a secure transaction on the most favorable terms.

The stages of the transaction are:

  • Memorandum of Agreement (MOA): We lock in the price and conditions.
  • 10% Deposit: Paid into an escrow account.
  • Survey and Sea Trial: The yacht is inspected.
  • Decision: You can confirm, negotiate, or decline the offer.
  • Closing: The Bill of Sale is signed, payment is made, and the yacht's registration and transfer are completed.

2. What Is a Motor Yacht?

There’s no universal rule that defines the line between a “boat” and a “yacht.” Often, vessels over 12–15 meters, built with a high level of comfort and luxury, are usually regarded as yachts. Here, you’ll find a selection of motor yachts in different lengths and configurations to suit every lifestyle.

Why choose a motor yacht?

  • Speed: Enjoy speeds of 50 km/h or more for exhilarating cruises.
  • Ready for water sports: The engine and hull create perfect waves for wakeboarding, parasailing, wakesurfing, water skiing, and tubing.
  • Luxury comfort: Enjoy spacious hulls, comfortable cabins, and open decks designed for both relaxation and entertaining.

3. Which Yacht Is Right for You?

Deciding on the right yacht can be tough, so here's a brief guide to yacht types based on their purpose. If you're ready to buy, leave a request, and we'll help you make the final decision and find the perfect fit.

  • Fishing: For shallow-water fishing, a Jon Boat, Skiff, Bay Boat, or Inflatable Dinghy is ideal. These boats have a shallow draft, a simple design, and are easy to transport with a trailer. For offshore fishing, a Sportfisher, Offshore Center Console, or Walkaround Boat is a better choice. They feature a deep V-hull, reliable engines, and a large fuel tank.
  • Sports: For enthusiasts of active water sports, a Wake Boat, Ski Boat, Bowrider, or Jet Boat is perfect. They are equipped with powerful engines, tow hooks, and wave-shaping systems. They offer ideal conditions for wakeboarding, parasailing, wakesurfing, water skiing, and tubing.
  • Cruising and Entertainment: For family and friends, a Deck Boat, Pontoon, Cabin Cruiser, Houseboat, or even a Mega Yacht will work. Pontoon and Deck Boats offer spacious seating, sun awnings, and a convenient swim platform. Cabin Cruisers and Houseboats are great for overnight stays, as they're equipped with cabins, a kitchen, a bathroom, and air conditioning. For parties, larger yachts with spacious decks, a quality audio system, a bar, and comfortable lounge areas are the perfect choice.

4. Yacht Inspection

Before purchasing, we recommend involving a Shestakov Yacht Sales broker. The broker will coordinate the transaction and, when necessary, provide a list of qualified specialists for the survey and sea trial. The selection and appointment of the surveyor remain the sole responsibility of the buyer.

  • Hull: When inspecting the hull, look for cracks, signs of repair, osmosis, and collision damage. Pay special attention to the underwater section: the keel, propellers, and shaft seals. Their technical condition determines the safety and future operating costs.

  • Engines and power systems: Inspect the engine hours, overall technical condition, service history, and regularity of maintenance. It’s essential to inspect for leaks and evaluate the condition of the filters and cooling system. A qualified technical expert or mechanic can provide an objective assessment of the engine’s overall condition.

  • Equipment and comfort: During the inspection, it’s crucial to verify the functionality of all onboard systems. Ensure that all equipment—including navigation, multimedia, and household appliances—is documented in the Bill of Sale. For premium models, also pay close attention to satellite communication, advanced safety features, and the quality of interior finishes.

Actions After the Inspection

After the survey and sea trial, the buyer makes a decision:

  • Confirm the purchase and proceed to closing.
  • Request the seller to fix any defects or renegotiate the price.
  • Decline the purchase (the deposit is returned according to the contract terms).

Once the deal is confirmed, the Closing process begins. This includes signing the Bill of Sale, making the final payment, registering ownership, and transferring the yacht along with its documents to the new owner.

5. Popular Brands

The market offers both European brands—such as Sunseeker, Azimut, Princess, Sanlorenzo, and Benetti—and American brands like Sea Ray, Hatteras, Carver, and Westport. European manufacturers are celebrated for their design and style, while American builders are prized for their reliability and power. When choosing, it’s also important to consider the availability of spare parts and service in your region.

The key takeaway: a brand reflects the yacht’s philosophy, whether it leans toward luxury or practicality. In the catalog below, you’ll find current listings, and our team will guide you in selecting the best option to match your needs and budget.
