Overview
The 50-metre superyacht Ada 50 Z has found her owner and is now in build, with delivery slated for 2025. A Bodrum-based Turkish shipyard has been commissioned to realise this all-new luxury motor yacht, envisioned as a fresh, contemporary statement in the 50m category. Her concept and crisp exterior styling were created by a dedicated design studio, while Norse Design oversaw the engineering and a specialist partner handled the naval architecture, ensuring a finely balanced marriage of performance and poise. Reflecting on an intense seven to eight months of development, Selahattin Uldas expressed gratitude to the wider project team, specifically acknowledging the support of Onur Tekin and Ran Goldstein as instrumental to the yacht’s swift progress.
With a sub-500 GT profile and a straight bow, Ada 50 Z presents clean, modern lines and generous, cascading aft decks that champion the alfresco superyacht lifestyle. The beach club acts as a private waterfront, centred on a plunge pool framed by loungers, while fold-out hydraulic wings expand the terrace to create a remarkable platform at the water’s edge. Forward, a second pool is nestled into the foredeck and embraced by fixed sunpads, delivering a secluded retreat underway or at anchor.
Inside, the yacht offers 497 GT of refined volume with accommodation for up to 12 guests across six well-appointed staterooms. A vast owner’s suite enjoys a private balcony, a Jacuzzi, and sweeping panoramic windows for an uninterrupted connection to the sea. Ten crew are housed in five cabins, supporting the yacht’s hospitality with professional discretion. While her exterior aesthetic and construction are Turkish, the interiors are distinctly Italian, curated by a Florence-based studio that has shaped a modern saloon and elegant dining area, carefully enhancing the dialogue between inside and out to heighten the onboard experience.
Underway, twin 1,325 hp engines will deliver a top speed of 15 knots, providing confident, efficient cruising befitting a custom new-build superyacht. Completion is anticipated by June 2025.
Detailed Description
Accommodation
Designed for extended voyages and effortless hospitality, the accommodation welcomes up to twelve guests in six beautifully appointed cabins, while five dedicated crew cabins comfortably house a professional team of nine. Convenience and privacy are ensured by eight well-planned head compartments, delivering seamless comfort for guests and crew alike.
Main & electrical systems
Engineered for assurance and ease, the yacht features a robust shore power supply feeding comprehensive switchgear and an intelligent alarm monitoring system. Its cooling and seawater systems support a fuel system with built‑in pumps, while a Gianneschi 400 VAC bilge pump and an integrated fire system deliver essential safety. Onboard comfort is elevated by two 250-liter hot water heaters, a dock water softener, and twin Idromarin fresh water makers of 350 liters each, complemented by a reliable sewage system, efficient air conditioning, and a meticulously tuned exhaust system. Confident handling comes from a CMC bow thruster and four CMC HS 120 stabilizers, working in concert with the yacht’s steering and mooring system to ensure poised maneuvering and serene passages. Illumination is thoughtfully curated with LED ceiling lights throughout the yacht, a saloon dimmer controller, and dedicated reading, stairwell, and wall lights, while ten underwater lights complete the ambiance at the waterline.
Navigation equipment and entertainment
Command and cruise with confidence thanks to an integrated suite that includes four GS165 24-inch chartplotters, a DST800 LP TH bronze depth sounder, GPS (RS130), and a radar rated at 4 kW, all complemented by a VHF (Ray 260), an EV-400 Sail autopilot, and two I70 colour instruments displaying speed, wind, and depth, with an EPIRB for ultimate peace of mind. Onboard entertainment is equally compelling, driven by a 90 cm satellite TV antenna that feeds an array of Samsung LED screens: 50-inch units in the guest cabins, 80-inch sets in the owner's cabin, a 65-inch display in the Saloon, 32-inch screens in the crew mess, and 55-inch TVs in the upper Saloon.
Interior
The owner’s cabin is a serene private retreat, thoughtfully appointed with a dressing room, a vanity, an office desk, and a secure safe box. It opens onto the owner’s terrace, where a Jacuzzi invites open-air relaxation, and is equipped with 220-volt sockets with USB connectivity, four ceiling speakers, and a two-kilogram fire extinguishing bottle. A generous shower and an electrical head complete this sophisticated sanctuary.
The guest accommodations are designed for versatility and comfort, with double beds in the VIP cabins and two single beds in the guest cabins, with an option to convert to a gym when desired. Each guest space features a vanity and a locker, is served by two ceiling speakers and a two-kilogram fire extinguishing bottle, and includes a refreshing shower and an electrical head.
At the heart of the yacht, the saloon welcomes gatherings around an elegant oval table for twelve people, complemented by an inviting L-shaped sofa, a refined coffee table, and decoratively finished walls. There is direct access from the deck, convenient service from a well-situated pantry, and the practicality of a day head. Electrical sliding doors comprise one entrance, two side doors, and one serving the lobby, while six speakers enrich the sound system; safety is further assured by a two-kilogram fire extinguishing bottle.
Culinary ambitions are met in a professionally conceived galley featuring a stainless steel countertop with matching stainless steel cabinets and lockers. Equipment includes a microwave, a steam oven (Rational), an electrical cooker (Electrolux), a refrigerator (Electrolux), and a deepfreeze (Electrolux), supported by a garbage disposal, a dumbwaiter, a dishwasher, and an icemaker (Isotherm).
Exterior
On the foredeck, filling caps for water and fuel are smartly positioned alongside two electrical windlasses (Hidromarin) and an electrical 100kW CMC bow thruster, all supported by a chain locker with hatch that accommodates two sets of chain and two sets of anchors. A fore peak hatch adds practical access, while a tender/jet-ski door with beam crane streamlines launch and recovery. Leisure is elevated with a Jacuzzi framed by sun pads and U-shaped seating on the foredeck, and a removable side boarding ladder ensures effortless embarkation.
On the main deck, a Transformer and a pasarella simplify boarding, complemented by two wing side doors, the entrance to the saloon, and a pool that becomes a social focal point. A loose seating group invites relaxed conversation, while stairs lead gracefully to the flybridge deck. Days on the water are enhanced by a removable deck shower and a removable swim ladder.
The upper deck presents the owner’s cabin and terrace with a Jacuzzi, accessed through an electrical sliding door to the owner’s Terrace, creating a serene private retreat. Crowning it all, the sundeck is appointed with a dining table on the sundeck and a bar on the sun deck for memorable gatherings under open skies.
