Accomodations

Construction

Built on a hand-laid fiberglass hull, this yacht employs a robust structural grid bonded to the hull liner, protected by a vinylester resin barrier coat. A lead fin keel is secured with stainless steel attaching bolts for strength and reliability, while a collision bulkhead forward with a dedicated “Strike Zone” adds confidence offshore. Further assurances include 5-year gel coat blister protection and a 5-year hull structure warranty. The profile is crisply finished with a molded-in gel coat waterline in Grey.

Sail handling and equipment

Effortless performance comes from a Selden in-mast furling system with vertical battens in the mainsail, paired with both a 135% genoa with UV protection and a 115% genoa with UV protection. The complete standing and running rigging includes internal low-stretch Dacron halyards and a PVC wiring conduit with messenger inside the mast, all set on a double-spreader rig. Sail control is superb via two two-speed self-tailing primary winches by Lewmar and two two-speed self-tailing mainsheet/halyard winches by Lewmar, supported by mid-boom sheeting with a multi-purchase traveler. Two ball-bearing winch handles, a mainsheet traveler with car and an adjuster system led to the cockpit, Furlex headsail furling gear, an adjustable boom vang, and inboard genoa tracks round out a powerful, easily managed deck plan.

Mechanical systems

At the helm, single-lever engine controls on an Edson pedestal with stainless steel guard are complemented by engine instruments and a bright 5" illuminated compass, with a steering brake and an Edson folding wheel for comfort and control. Power comes from a Yanmar three-cylinder diesel, 21 HP FWC, turning a bronze three-blade propeller and protected by a seawater filter for engine cooling. Safety and redundancy include an emergency tiller system, a bilge blower, and a hand-laminated rudder with a 316 stainless steel core and post. Domestic systems feature a hot and cold pressure water system, a manual bilge pump, and an electric bilge pump with float switch, plus a marine head with holding tank and deck outlet, a macerator pump for overboard discharge, and a water heater with engine heat exchanger.

Deck hardware

On deck, comfort and function meet in a generous cockpit with contoured coamings, a walk-through stern, and a transom boarding platform served by a telescopic stern ladder. Security is assured by double lifelines with port and starboard gates, while mooring cleats fore and aft and a large stainless steel anchor roller on the foredeck simplify docking and anchoring. Ground tackle inspires confidence: a Quick 600 electric windlass paired with an Ultra 35 lb stainless steel anchor on an Ultra Flip Swivel, 50' of 1/4-inch stainless steel chain, and 250 feet of three-strand nylon rode, all stowed neatly in a molded-in anchor locker below deck. Practical touches include stainless steel handrails on the cabin top, a stern rail with observation seats, a removable helm seat, a hot and cold transom shower, line storage cleats, and an LED cockpit light. A molded-in LP gas locker houses two 10 lb tanks.

Electronics

An integrated Garmin suite equips the helm and nav station for confident passagemaking: GMI 20 speed, depth, and wind instruments; GPS 842 radar/chartplotter; GMR Fathom 18" radome; VHF 215 at the nav station with a VHF 215 remote mic in the cockpit; AIS 800; and the Garmin Reactor 40 autopilot for assured course-keeping in all conditions.

Electrical systems

Power distribution is centered on a custom 120V/12V electrical panel with circuit breakers for the 120V side and a DC system featuring two batteries, a selector switch, and panel circuit protection. Shore power arrives via a 30 amp cord, feeding a marine battery charger and a galvanic isolator for corrosion control. House loads are supported by AGM Lifeline house batteries with a dedicated AGM Lifeline starting battery monitored by a battery condition meter. Comfort and safety come from adjustable LED cabin lights, AC duplex receptacles throughout, deck and steaming lights on the mast, an anchor light at the masthead, and comprehensive 12V lighting throughout. A macerator pump is installed for overboard discharge where permitted.
