Detailed Description

Overview

WANDERER is a prime example of the highly regarded Grand Alaskan 64 flush deck, blending timeless style with comfortable living spaces, long‑range capability, and a notably stable, quiet ride. Her spacious four‑stateroom, four‑head layout is anchored by a full‑beam master suite, while a large salon flows to a premium galley appointed with high‑end appliances, granite countertops, and abundant storage, complemented by a convenient day head and a separate pilothouse. Outdoor living is effortless on the generous aft deck, full walk‑around side decks, and an extremely large flybridge designed for easy entertaining. A large, full‑beam, stand‑up aft engine room provides exceptional access to all machinery. Power comes from twin Caterpillar diesel engines that cruise efficiently at 10 knots with an approximate range of 600 nautical miles, supported by a turnkey equipment package including Naiad stabilizers, dual generators, a bow thruster, and recent services. Technology is equally comprehensive, featuring advanced Furuno electronics enhanced by a FLIR thermal camera and a Simrad autopilot, ensuring confidence and comfort whether weekending aboard or stretching out for extended passages.

Accommodations

WANDERER offers an open, airy flush-deck layout with four generous staterooms. The en suite VIP cabin is positioned amidships to port, while forward a twin guest cabin to port and a single twin/crew cabin in the bow share a head. Aft, the master cabin provides a notably comfortable ride and quiet accommodation with generous storage and space. This stateroom features an extra-large queen berth with en suite head, exceptional drawer and hanging-locker storage, and easy access to the aft part of the engine room.

Salon

Galley

Thoughtfully appointed for gourmet preparation, the galley centers on a KitchenAid four-burner ceramic glass cooktop and a full-size KitchenAid refrigerator, complemented by a Bosch stainless dishwasher, all set against a striking black granite countertop with stainless fiddles. A double basin stainless sink is served by a hot and cold faucet sprayer, an instant hot water spigot, a soap dispenser, and an InSinkErator garbage disposal for effortless cleanup. For quick toasting, baking, and reheating, appliances include a GE stainless toaster, a Black and Decker toaster oven/broiler, and a GE convection microwave oven.

Pilothouse and lower helm

Clever crisscross single berths maximize the footprint while preserving comfort, complemented by a generous hanging locker and ample drawer storage for extended journeys. Natural light and fresh sea air filter through opening ports, enhancing the serene ambiance.

Abundant locker and drawer storage keep personal effects neatly stowed, while the warm teak-and-holly sole elevates the ambiance. Natural light and fresh air pour in through a large opening overhead hatch and two opening ports, and entertainment is close at hand with a TV with DVD player.

Guest head

Hull and deck equipment

This yacht inspires confidence underway with a Portuguese bridge featuring a door forward to the bow, complemented by Marquipt folding boarding stairs for effortless embarkation. Fresh water washdown is provided on the foredeck, aft deck, engine room, and flybridge, and an opening cockpit transom door streamlines access to the water. Ground tackle is robust, with a Maxwell windlass feeding a chain rode to a stainless plow anchor. Safety and readiness are enhanced by a Switlik liferaft, not currently certified, while teak laid decks over fiberglass deliver timeless appeal and secure footing, supported by assorted fenders, lines, and throwable devices. Comfort aloft is elevated by a new three-quarter enclosure in 2024, and tender handling is effortless with a Nautical Structures EZ1500 LB tender davit. The package is completed by a Novurania tender with a 60 hp engine and cradle, together with a jetski cradle for added versatility.

Electronics and navigation

Command with confidence on a bridge outfitted with two Furuno TZTouch Black Box navigation systems paired with two Furuno TZTouch 14” units, all guided by a Furuno GP330B GPS antenna and a Furuno XN12A 4’ open array radar. Confident control comes from a Simrad AP20 autopilot and a Glendenning wired remote engine control console, while an FLIR M-324XP thermal camera, a McMurdo SmartFind AIS Class A transponder, and an Icom VHF radio with command mic on the bridge enhance safety and communication. The DC bank features seven 8D batteries new in August 2025 and two Group 21 batteries new in February 2025, while serviceability and comfort are elevated by a Reverso oil change system, Naiad stabilizers, a Village Marine 800 GPD watermaker, five air-conditioning compressors, a Bosch 500 Series clothes washer/dryer and four electric bilge pumps.

Broker remarks

Coveted Grand Alaskan 64s seldom come to market or remain available for long, making WANDERER a rare opportunity. Thoughtfully updated and fully current on all mechanical services, she is turnkey and ready to cruise this summer. Offered by an owner choosing to spend more time ashore, she presents in very nice shape and will not disappoint upon inspection.

WANDERER has proven herself across various owners, having cruised the US West Coast and Alaska, ventured to South America, transited the Panama Canal, explored the entire Caribbean and the Bahamas, and ranged along the US East Coast, the Chesapeake, and the Great Lakes via the Hudson River and Champlain Canal. Under current ownership she has again covered the East Coast, along with the Florida Gulf Coast. True to her name, this vessel has indeed been a wanderer.
