Electrical resilience is delivered by a 20 kW Onan generator with sound shield and a Phasor 21 kW generator with sound shield (new 2022), assisted by Glendinning engine synchronizers and two Glendinning Cable Master units for 50-amp power cords with remote controllers. Hynautic steering, boost/isolation transformers, an oil change system for the engines and transmissions, and an oil change system for the aft Onan generator streamline operations, while an air compressor and two 5-gallon oil filtration units for the main engines add serviceability. Domestic systems include a 30-gallon Rheem hot water heater, Racor dual fuel filters, Flo-Scans, a La Marche Constavolt battery charger and Pro Mariner 12V battery charge (new 2022), Cruise Air digital AC controls, an Ultraviolet water maker sterilizer, and a dedicated water maker.

Deck equipment is equally comprehensive: a Galley Maid windlass pairs with a 1000 lbs. Marquipt davit, a 2004 12’ NovuraniaRIB tender with 40HP Yamaha OB, 7’ Marquipt Sea Stairs, a 4 step Marquipt ladder, and 2 extra 3 blade spare props. Ground tackle includes a 75 lbs. CQR anchor and a 50 lbs. extra Danforth anchor, supported by anchor wash down. Electronics are modern and redundant where it matters, including a 16” Raymarine Axiom Pro Hybridtouch GPS on the fly bridge, a Raymarine depth sounder in the pilothouse, and Furuno NavNet GPS, radar, and depth sounder both in the pilothouse and on the fly bridge. Autopilot duties are handled by a Simrad AP28 in the pilothouse and a Simrad AP24 on the fly bridge. Communications include a Standard Horizon GX 5500 VHF in the pilothouse and a Standard Horizon VHF on the fly bridge, complemented by a Standard Horizon hailer at the pilothouse and fly bridge (forward and aft). A WEMA tank monitor, 24V searchlight, Flo scans on the fly bridge, a camera system for the aft deck and engine room, and SAT TV round out a capable navigation and monitoring suite.

“Sunset Grille” is a fine example of a well-maintained Hatteras powered by Detroit Diesel 8V 92 TA engines, a yacht that has been steadily upgraded with new systems, parts, and proper maintenance over the years. The Detroit Diesel 8V92s run and sound superbly, starting clean with no smoke whatsoever. According to the previous owner, in 2019 it was reported that the port engine had 732 hours and the starboard engine had 1091 hours since the major overhaul (SMOH). The current owner is knowledgeable and conscientious, having enjoyed the boat locally with less than 500 additional hours, which shows in the way the vessel presents and performs.
