Overview
It’s a rare privilege to meet a sailing yacht cared for this diligently, and I’ve had the honor of representing her twice—once for the original owner, and again for the current custodian who purchased her just over four years ago. Maintained in true Bristol condition, this luxury sailboat has seen thoughtful, high-quality updates: a lithium‑ion battery bank with integrated charging and monitoring, renewed standing rigging and lifelines, a replaced engine heat exchanger and prop shaft, plus a new VHF and a robust windlass. Factory carpeting has preserved the cabin sole, while a recent professional varnish on all exterior teak leaves her gleaming with elegance. With the desirable shoal draft, intimate anchorages open up with ease, making this refined cruiser a delightful performance cruiser for coastal cruising with bluewater manners and liveaboard comfort—an exceptional yacht for sale.
Detailed Description
Description
It is a rare privilege to encounter a boat this lovingly preserved. I have had the pleasure of representing her twice—first when the original owner elected to sell, and again just over four years ago for the current owner and buyer. Since then, she has been kept in true Bristol condition. The electrical system has been thoughtfully modernized with lithium‑ion house batteries and integrated charging and monitoring, a new VHF has been fitted, and a new windlass installed. The standing rigging and lifelines were renewed, the engine heat exchanger and prop shaft replaced, and even the details shine: factory carpeting has protected the cabin sole from day one, while a fresh, professional varnish on all exterior teak makes her gleam at the dock and underway. Thanks to her shoal draft, those cozy, tucked‑away anchorages are more accessible than ever.
Equipment
Sails and rigging are comprehensively equipped for effortless cruising and confident passagemaking. Mack Sails provided a roller‑furling mainsail, jib, and staysail (all new in 2014), and the entire inventory was inspected and cleaned by North Sails during the winter of 2023–2024. An asymmetric spinnaker with ATN sleeve and accessories adds downwind horsepower, while a keel‑stepped roller‑furling mast enjoys a 16 inch height reduction for better bridge clearance; the headsails were unaffected by this refinement, and the mainsail was trimmed by three inches to suit. The rig features anodized aluminum spars and all new standing rigging (2022). On‑mast hardware includes a Lewmar Ocean Series 248C jib halyard winch, a Lewmar Ocean Series 8C staysail winch, and a two‑speed Lewmar Ocean Series 24C main halyard winch. In the cockpit, a Lewmar Ocean Series 30CST handles the mainsheet and spare main halyard led aft through stoppers, and a second Lewmar Ocean Series 30CST manages the furling and main outhaul lines led aft. A Lewmar Ocean Series 8C staysail sheet winch and two Lewmar Ocean Series 48CST two‑speed jib sheet winches (serviced in 2019) round out the arsenal; all winches were serviced over the 2023/2024 winter. A boom vang, a mainsheet traveler with a 4:1 control system, twin backstays for easy stern boarding, and an adjustable topping lift complete this well‑sorted, sailor‑friendly deck plan.
Hull and deck details reflect equal care and thoughtful upgrades. There is an LPG deck storage bin; stainless steel double bow and stern rails with stanchions; a stern rail with twin seats; a stainless steel flag staff and holder; and double lifelines, new in 2022. The sugar‑scoop transom integrates a stainless steel swim ladder for easy water access. At the bow, two stainless steel anchor rollers with chocks and flush‑mount stainless steel chafe guards are paired with a Lofrans Kobra horizontal windlass with deck controls (new 2024). Ground tackle includes a primary Rocna anchor (2014) with 90 ft of 5/8" HT chain and 150 ft of nylon rode, plus a secondary 40 lb Delta with 40 ft of 5/8" HT chain and 200 ft of nylon rode. A stern gate with a quick‑release hook improves boarding safety. Kato stainless steel davits carry an AB 9VS dinghy, while a Kato stainless steel motor lift serves a Yamaha 15 HP outboard; a dedicated motor mount is fitted. Downwind control is enhanced by a Forespar Whisker pole, mast‑mounted on a T‑track with a 4:1 block system, extending from 13 to 24 feet for use with either jib or spinnaker. Comfort and convenience abound with two cockpit stereo speakers (2018), cockpit cushions, and a dodger/bimini with connector panel (new 2014), with the original dodger and bimini used in summers to preserve the newer canvas. Rail and coaming covers protect the varnish, maintained twice annually to keep its luster. Safety and utility items include a Revere Coastal Compact liferaft (not current), an ATN Top Climber, a custom Cruising Concepts double cockpit table, a Davis Echomaster radar reflector, and a Standard Horizon HX 870 handheld VHF with GPS (2015). The helm is finished with a leather‑covered wheel, the deck benefits from a saltwater washdown, and relaxation is assured with a hammock and a canvas chair with footrest to hoist in the rigging. The exterior teak cap rail was professionally varnished in 2025.
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are specified for reliability and independence. Propulsion comes from a Yanmar 4JH3E 54 HP diesel with approximately 2,200 hours, accompanied by a Yanmar major spare parts kit, Racor fuel filtration, a recessed cockpit instrument panel, and a single‑lever engine control on the pedestal. Energy management is modern and robust: a Victron Cerbo GX touch‑display battery monitor oversees the house bank of two Lithionics 315 amp hour batteries with integrated monitor display; a Victron inverter/charger (new 2022) handles charging and AC conversion; and a 100 amp hour Lifeline AGM G27 engine‑start battery (2019) ensures dependable cranking. A Fischer Panda 4200 Plus generator with closed cooling (control panel replaced 2019) shows only 296 hours. Charging at sea is bolstered by an American Power Systems AP500‑OPE smart controller and a Balmar 250 amp alternator with a serpentine belt. The marine head is a Raritan elongated‑bowl unit (new 2019) with direct overboard discharge or a bypass to the holding tank; the fiberglass holding tank was replaced by the Island Packet factory in 2014. Additional comforts include an electric bilge pump with auto switch, a marine‑grade water heater with engine heat exchanger and AC operation, a pressure water system delivering hot and cold water at the galley, head, and aft cabin, a shower in the head and a cold‑water cockpit shower, plus electric shower and icebox drain pumps.
Navigation, communication, and entertainment electronics are integrated and current. At the helm, a B&G Zeus 3 9” multifunction display is paired with three B&G Triton 2 color digital data displays and a B&G Triton 2 autopilot controller. At the nav station, a B&G V60 VHF with AIS is complemented by a B&G H60 wireless handset at the helm (new 2023), and a B&G Zeus 3 7” multifunction display (new 2022). The sensor suite includes a B&G 608 wind sensor, B&G water speed sensor, and a B&G ZG100 GPS antenna; steering is managed by a Simrad NAC‑3 autopilot computer. For situational awareness, there is a B&G 4G Broadband radar mounted on the mast and B&G Forward Scan Sonar. Connectivity and audio are handled by two B&G SonicHub 2 amplifiers with Bluetooth, Sirius satellite audio and weather antennas, a Simrad NAIS 400 AIS class B with antennas, a masthead VHF antenna, an Iridium Go unit with antenna, and a Series Electronic tank monitor. Sound throughout is enriched by two main salon stereo speakers (2018).
Interior features provide year‑round comfort and thoughtful livability. Climate control is delivered by a 16,000 BTU air conditioner/heat pump with a digital control replaced in 2019. Cold storage is handled by an AB dual‑plate 12 V refrigeration system with a spillover fan. The galley is appointed with a Seagull water‑purifier tap at the sink (2019), dual stainless steel sinks with a pull‑out faucet (2019), an LPG three‑burner stove with oven and a new cooktop (2011), plus a microwave oven (2020). Ventilation is excellent, with three fans, five opening Lewmar deck hatches, canvas hatch covers (new 2019), three Dorade‑style deck ventilators (new 2019), and eleven stainless steel opening ports with screens, each fitted with Peek‑a‑boo shades. Additional refinements include Glebe Creek teak hatch and companionway screens, custom factory carpeting, companionway screens with Lexan panels for efficient A/C or heating, and a mattress comfort foam topper for restorative sleep.
