A versatile four- or five-stateroom arrangement, a capacious flybridge, a hydraulic bathing/tender platform and seamlessly integrated solar generation deliver an elegant, efficient flybridge motor yacht conceived for long-range, bluewater cruising.
This semi-custom 26.7m superyacht presents a rare chance to step into a new-build project already well advanced while preserving the ability to shape the interior around your lifestyle. Her aluminium hull and superstructure are complete, removing much of the uncertainty of starting a fully bespoke commission from scratch, and delivery is slated for 2027.
Conceived by Barracuda Yacht Design, the project fuses an explorer-inspired profile with optimized naval architecture and practical onboard living. Accommodation can be configured as four cabins for private family voyages or five cabins for charter-focused use, welcoming up to 12 guests with quarters for four crew, and delivering the robust capability expected of a modern explorer yacht.
Solar arrays integrated into the hardtop and bimini can produce approximately 12.7 kW in peak conditions, yielding typical hotel-load fuel savings of around 30–40% to lower operating costs and emissions. Optional extended-capacity lithium batteries can support normal domestic consumption for up to 16 hours, enhancing quiet, eco-conscious cruising.
Detailed Description
Accommodation
Choose from versatile lower deck configurations, including a four-cabin layout tailored for family use and a five-cabin layout designed for charter use. In selected cabins, berths can be oriented longitudinally or transversally to suit the chosen version and optimize space, while certain double berths can be split into two to convert the room into a twin cabin.
Propulsion & steering
The shaft-line assembly is engineered with high-tensile steel shafts of approximately 65 mm in diameter, driving five-bladed propellers with a high disc area and anti-singing edges for smooth, efficient thrust. The shafts are supported by double aluminium A-brackets, with cutlass bearings mounted within the brackets, while shaft sealing is by Tides Marine or equivalent for dependable watertight integrity. A brush-type cathodic connection links the shafts to the yacht’s structure to ensure comprehensive corrosion protection.
Paint job
Beneath the waterline, INTERNATIONAL Trilux 33 antifouling is applied over the required primers, with no fairing to be applied, and the proposed antifouling colour is black. Above the waterline, an AWLGRIP or equivalent coating system is executed to Superyacht standard, with Interfill 830 fairing compound used throughout; fairing is verified with a 6m aluminium batten, allowing maximum deformations of 3mm in 3m or 1mm in 1m.
On the superstructures and decks, the superstructure side walls receive an AWLGRIP or equivalent system to Superyacht standard, again with Interfill 830 fairing compound throughout. Bulwarks, the bridge hard top, and superstructure tops are finished in white, with anti-skid preparation on the superstructure fore tops and hard top. Fairing here is likewise checked with a 6m aluminium batten, maintaining maximum deformations of 3mm in 3m or 1mm in 1m.
Within the hull, the engine room bilge is finished in light grey; the fore peak features a light grey floor and bilge with white satin to other areas; and the aft peak presents a light grey floor with white satin to the remaining surfaces. For the tanks, a Jotun painting system is applied to the fresh water tanks in accordance with regulations.
Hull designation and marking are executed with equal care: the vessel’s name appears on the transom in inox letters and on both sides of the superstructure, and is also marked on lifebuoys, liferafts, and tenders. The name and Port of Registry appear only on the transom.
Safety & security
A fixed fire detection and fire-alarm system safeguards the yacht throughout, covering the Machinery Spaces, stairways, Service Spaces, and all Accommodation Spaces except toilets, bathrooms, void spaces, and similar areas. Oversight is centralized via a Central Alarm Module operated from the Bridge, while portable extinguishers are provided as required by Certification.
Within the Machinery Spaces, protection includes a fixed fire-extinguishing system employing Pyrogen or an equivalent fire-extinguishing medium, manual control with two separate controls, and a portable fire-extinguisher as required by Certification.
In the galley, a fixed fire detection and fire-alarm system is complemented by a portable fire-extinguisher as required by Certification and a fire blanket.
The Transom Storage Area is served by a fixed fire-alarm system and two portable foam extinguishers, or equivalent.
Across the Accommodation Spaces, a fixed fire detection and fire-alarm system is installed, with portable fire-extinguishers provided as required by Certification.
Communication & navigation equipment
Designed for confident passagemaking and effortless control, the yacht’s integrated bridge suite features one radar, two VHF GMDSS radios including one portable, a chart plotter with dual screens, and a precise autopilot, all complemented by two GPS receivers, AIS, and an EPIRB to elevate situational awareness and safety. Precision data is continuously delivered by the depth sounder, wind instruments, and speedometer, while seamless connectivity comes via a VSAT phone and data system, an internal Wi‑Fi network with two Wi‑Fi repeaters, and a satellite TV antenna. A powerful fog horn enhances presence in reduced visibility, six portable VHFs facilitate clear crew communication, and a robust monitoring system provides displays at the bridge, in the engine room, and on handheld devices. Command is intuitive from dual helm stations on the main deck and flybridge, each equipped with navigation screens and comprehensive communications equipment.
Stabilisers
For assured comfort underway, the yacht offers two optional stabilisation alternatives: a Seakeeper Model 35 installed in the engine room, or fin stabilisers—CMC Stab 30 or equivalent—specified as not a zero-speed system.
Electrical
Engineered for seamless power management, the 380 V / 60 Hz three-phase AC circuit offers tailored generator configurations to suit your cruising profile. Choose between two service generators, each a Caterpillar C4.4 delivering 44 kW at 1800 rpm, or opt for one Caterpillar C4.4 service generator rated at 58 kW at 1800 rpm complemented by one Caterpillar C2.2 night generator producing 20 kW at 1800 rpm. When of similar size, the main generators are arranged to run in parallel for optimal efficiency and redundancy. Shore support is assured through one shore power connection rated at 100 A and one shore frequency converter, Atlas or equivalent. Power distribution is expertly organized, with the main switchboards situated in the control room within the engine room and distribution switchboards provided as required on each deck.
The 220 V / 60 Hz AC circuit supplies all 230 V consumers aboard, supported by four 24 V battery chargers as required to keep onboard systems at peak readiness.
For unwavering reliability, the 24 V DC circuit serves starting and emergency duties. The engines’ starting batteries at 24 V are combined to also serve as genset starting batteries at 24 V. Transitional emergency batteries at 24 V engage automatically in the event of a failure of either the main or emergency power source, ensuring continuity to the 24 V service switchboards, the emergency lighting switchboard, and the standard service batteries comprising two-volt cells with a capacity of 2,000 A at 24 V.
For extended autonomy, an optional suite of extended-capacity lithium batteries provides 180 kWh in 48 V cells, together with converters and associated equipment, designed to serve all onboard consumers for up to sixteen hours at normal domestic consumption levels. Exact capacities will be refined and the system quoted separately as an optional item.
Harnessing clean energy with style, the solar array spans a total area of 64 m2. Flexible panels follow the gentle curvature of the cabin for a refined aesthetic, avoiding the flat, industrial look common to conventional solar yachts. In ideal summer conditions in the Mediterranean or United States, the system delivers approximately 12.7 kW of maximum power, while in Southeast Asia it achieves approximately 10.3 kW under the best conditions, available year-round.
A comprehensive yet streamlined monitoring solution oversees key electrical consumers and machinery, with intuitive displays at the bridge and in the engine room, complemented by access on handheld devices via Wi‑Fi connectivity. Exact specification to be defined.
Mechanical
Engineered for autonomy and reliability, the yacht’s fuel system features four storage tanks of 2,000 liters each for a total of 8,000 liters, complemented by one 1,000-liter day tank. All tanks are of integral aluminum construction, with internal exposed surfaces treated with a suitable protective coating, and are equipped with vents, drains, inlet and outlet connections, and a sounding system. Fuel management is handled by one fuel-transfer pump plus an additional pump dedicated to the day tank, both operating automatically, with electric SOS valves provided as required.
The fresh water system provides generous capacity through two 1,500-liter storage tanks in integral aluminum with treated internal surfaces, complete with the requisite vents, drains, inlet and outlet connections, and a sounding system. A shore pressure connection is fitted, and delivery is ensured by two pressure sets installed in parallel at 24 V and 220 V, Gianneschi or equivalent, self-priming for a two-meter height. Potable water independence is further secured by two Sea Recovery Aquawhisper 900-1 units producing 3,400 liters per day. Carbon-based filters polish the cold-water supply at all head basins and the galley sink, while hot water is supplied by two 2 kW calorifiers of 150 liters each.
Black and grey water are managed through a 2,000-liter grey water holding tank and a 500-liter black water holding tank, both of integral aluminum construction and fitted with the proper vents, drains, and inlet and outlet connections. Independent circuits serve black and grey water, with Tecma-type marine toilets or equivalent, and sump boxes in different bilge areas circulating grey water to the holding tank. Discharge is handled by two electric pumps fitted in parallel for black and grey water, with both underwater and shore discharge options.
For seawater services, two sea inlets with strainers in the engine room feed a manifold, and valves permit cleaning of the strainers without interrupting the saltwater supply.
Climate control is delivered by a chilled-water system with three modular compressors, centered on a Dometic MCGX 150 condensing unit (380 V, 50 Hz) in the engine room, providing an approximate total capacity of 150,000 BTU. One heavy-duty circulation pump supports the loop, and ten air handlers (230 V, 50 Hz) are distributed throughout the yacht. Heating is achieved by reversing the cycle on the compressor units. Each cabin benefits from electronic control panels for the air handlers, with the option to reduce airflow down to sixty percent of maximum, while extraction fans are fitted in every bathroom and dedicated extraction units serve the main galley.
Engine room ventilation is carefully integrated, with ventilation trunks concealed in the sides of the main superstructure. Two inlet and two outlet trunks are equipped with fire dampers and internal insulation as required, and a separate air inlet serves the battery-isolated compartment. Extraction is via engine-room extractors, two Gianneschi or Elta type, with a target temperature rise limited to a maximum of twenty degrees Celsius above exterior air temperature.
The bilge system considers three watertight compartments—fore peak, accommodation area, and engine room—each provided with a bilge suction. A manifold bilge system places the bilge manifold in the engine room, served by one central bilge pump, and is complemented by three automatic pumps rated at 30 m³/h, plus a manual pump as required.
Hydraulic services are powered by dedicated packs operating the tender lift system and the transom passerelle, with the option to employ a single power pack if both items are of the same brand.
The steering architecture is comprehensive and redundant, comprising two rudders, Radice standard type or equivalent; two double-cylinder electrohydraulic steering systems linked by a connection bar, with the cylinders tied in parallel for synchronized rudder movement; and a hydraulic power unit with two 24 V DC electric motors and an oil reserve tank. Integration includes steering system bridge junction boxes, system control panels, and follow-up activation panels; two rudder-angle indicators; an electronic helm; an alternative feed from the gearboxes PTO; and an autopilot unit connected to the steering system.
For precise low-speed control, maneuvering is entrusted to electric fixed dual-propeller thrusters at both bow and stern, type CMC TP30EA with 340 mm diameter and 30 kW, or equivalent. Power is electro-hydraulic direct from the generator, and proportional controls are provided at all control stations.
Deck
From the moment you step aboard, the deck equipment speaks to effortless authority: a hydraulic anchor windlass with capstan function works a 14 mm stud-link chain to a robust 182 kg Manson anchor, backed by a secondary 60 kg CQR anchor and an anchor chain wash system for pristine operation. Confident mooring is assured with stainless steel cleats and fairleads, two aft mooring capstans, eight mooring lines each thirty meters in length, four spring lines, and a one hundred eighty meter towing line, supported by sixteen inflatable fenders and two ball fenders, with tender and fender compressors on hand to keep everything at the ready.
Movement around the yacht is gracious and secure thanks to a hydraulic telescopic passerelle of approximately 5.5 m, a hydraulic swim platform and tender lift, side boarding gates, pantograph side doors, and a large aft sliding glass patio door. Teak decks, stainless steel handrails and fittings, and a flybridge windscreen set a refined tone, complemented by generous foredeck sunpads and an exterior deck furniture package. Entertaining flows naturally on the flybridge, with a dining area featuring a table and seating for ten and a well-appointed bar with stools. Practicality meets pleasure with tender stowage for an approximately 5 m tender, dedicated wetbike stowage, and a proud flagstaff, all illuminated by a complete LED and halogen deck lighting package with optional underwater lights for a dramatic evening ambience.
Galley & laundry
The galley is comprehensively appointed with one large domestic fridge unit and one large domestic combined fridge/freezer unit in the main galley. At the F/B bar, one small under‑counter fridge and one small under‑counter freezer provide convenient service, complemented by two professional ice makers serving both the galley and the F/B bar. All items are Miele, Bosch, Siemens, or of equivalent standard. Finishes are impeccably executed, with galley equipment in an inox finish, while equipment in the accommodation and on deck is discreetly integrated within built‑in furniture.
Audiovisual
Crafted for immersive onboard enjoyment, the main saloon presents a 42-inch Smart TV complemented by a home cinema system and a Bluetooth stereo system, while the aft deck and flybridge each feature dedicated exterior audio systems enhanced by waterproof speakers.
