Owner seeks an immediate sale!

Detailed Description

Overview

The owner is committed to an immediate sale, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire SEA BOLD, a yacht designed by C. Raymond Hunt Associates and crafted by pedigree builder New England Boatworks (NEB). Her epoxy and E-glass construction over PVC coring with carbon fiber reinforcement yields a lightweight structure of superior strength, translating into excellent performance and efficiency, while her sea-keeping ability is emblematic of the Ray Hunt lineage’s legendary reputation. Functionally, SEA BOLD shines with a casually elegant design and layout that afford effortless operation for guests and crew alike, offering three staterooms accommodating six guests and two crew cabins for four crew, walk-around side decks and abundant storage for lines, fenders, and more, two covered exterior seating areas complemented by two interior seating areas, and an enclosed pilothouse with day head. Powered by Caterpillar 3412E 1,400 hp diesels, she delivers a cruising speed of over 20 knots, and her consistent program of upgrades and service—combined with regular use—has maintained her in excellent condition, underscoring NEB’s exceptional build quality throughout.

Salon

Large seating areas enjoy beautiful sightlines in the spacious salon, where white walls and ceiling sections are contrasted by teak trim and cabinetry to create a comfortably elegant ambiance that extends on the same level through to the forward windows. Covered side decks provide added shade, while beyond the built-in bar console area and the flybridge stairway lie the dining room and study. The lounge arrangement features two sofas, a chair, and a bench—all recently reupholstered—anchored by a teak coffee table with fold-out leaves and complemented by two stools/ottomans, teak cabinetry and trim, and teak wooden blinds. Thoughtful amenities include overhead lighting, integrated overhead speakers for the audio/video system, and an adjustable-angle TV. A bar console with an ice maker, refrigeration, and storage serves guests with ease, and supplemental storage is neatly concealed within the cabinetry.

Dining room

Forward of the bar console, the dining room seats eight and, like the Salon, is awash in beautiful natural light thanks to expansive windows and side deck doors. A teak table is surrounded by eight leather chairs, complemented by teak cabinetry and trim and finished with teak wooden blinds, while overhead lighting ensures an inviting ambiance after sunset. Port and starboard doors open to the side decks for effortless circulation, and from this central hub stairways lead to the Flybridge, aft to the Guest Accommodations, and forward via dedicated stairs to the Galley and Crew areas.

Study

In keeping with other vessels designed for northeastern United States customers, Sea Bold presents a beautifully appointed space that serves equally well as a refined desk for productive work or a serene nook for reading, all bathed in warm light streaming through the forward windows.

Master stateroom

The master stateroom is a serene retreat centered around a queen berth with drawers beneath, flanked by side tables with drawers and illuminated by reading lamps and overhead lights. Thoughtful storage abounds with hanging lockers and additional storage drawers, while stainless steel portlights draw in natural light. A plush carpeted sole adds warmth underfoot, and an ensuite head with shower completes this private sanctuary.

Guest stateroom

Thoughtfully arranged for comfort and practicality, the guest stateroom presents two twin berths with drawers beneath, complemented by a side table with drawers for added stowage. Soft reading lamps and overhead lights provide layered illumination, while hanging lockers offer generous wardrobe space. A carpeted sole adds warmth underfoot, and natural light enters through a stainless steel portlight. For privacy and convenience, the ensuite head includes a shower and an additional door to the foyer.

Guest stateroom

The guest stateroom is thoughtfully appointed with two twin berths featuring drawers beneath for discreet storage, complemented by a side table with drawers for added convenience. Reading lamps and overhead lights create layered illumination, while hanging lockers provide generous wardrobe space. A stainless steel portlight introduces natural light and ventilation, and the carpeted sole lends a warm, refined touch. Convenient access to the head with shower is located just across the foyer.

Galley and laundry equipment

Descending the stairs to starboard of the Study, you enter the full-beam galley. To port lies a U-shaped cooking area, the large refrigeration units are set on the centerline, and a dinette awaits to starboard. Purpose-built for the demands of a professional chef and crew yet equally welcoming as a family eat-in hub, this culinary space features double stainless steel sinks, ample storage throughout for galley ware and dry goods, a Panasonic microwave, a Miele G4948 SCU dishwasher, a Miele Induction KM 5773 range with hood, and a Miele 4884 BP oven. Cold storage is comprehensively addressed with a SubZero 632 JS in the galley, two U-Line refrigerators in the salon, a U-Line refrigerator on the bridge, and a U-Line freezer on the bridge. For onboard laundry needs, an LG ThinQ Washer pairs with a Miele Touchtronic T 8005 dryer to ensure effortless care of linens and attire.

Enclosed bridge

A staircase forward of the salon provides interior access to the enclosed flybridge, where a beautiful helm—anchored by a destroyer-style stainless steel steering wheel, electronic single‑lever throttle and gear controls, and Caterpillar ECMs—is served by three Stidd helm chairs. Expansive windows grant the captain superb sightlines while bathing the space in natural light that plays across warm teak furnishings and a teak sole. This elevated retreat doubles as a welcoming lounge, centered around a huge chart table with drawers, upholstered bench seating, and a loose chair, complemented by built-in cabinetry with ample storage, a large television on a gimbal, overhead lighting, and courtesy lights for dark running. A day head is situated aft, and a door opens to the outdoor flybridge seating and boat deck.

The helm electronics are thoroughly specified with Green Marine dimmable monitors for Radar and Time Zero functions; a black box 96‑mile Furuno radar; Time Zero CPU‑based charting; a Furuno TZ GPS Chart / Sounder / Radar; two Furuno RD‑33 units; a Furuno GP‑33; CPU‑driven charting with a wireless keyboard; and a Simrad / Robertson AP20 autopilot. Additional systems include a Green Marine dimmable monitor for camera systems, a Quantum active trim tab system, Quantum bow thruster control, two Sailor 6216 VHF DSC units, a Kahlenberg air horn multifunction control, and a Delta T control screen.

Flybridge outdoor seating

Aft of the enclosed flybridge, an inviting outdoor seating area rests beneath the extended roof, creating a sheltered haven for relaxation and entertaining. To port, built-in molded fiberglass bench seating with integrated storage flanks a dining table set between the benches. To starboard, a refined entertainment unit incorporates a sink, a refrigerator, a freezer, an ice maker, generous storage cabinets, and a television, all enhanced by thoughtfully placed overhead lighting. With the simple addition of a cooktop or grill, this space readily transforms into an additional galley for effortless alfresco service.

Boat deck

The boat deck is thoughtfully outfitted with ladder access to the lower aft deck, a robust davit for smooth tender handling, integrated chock bases set into the deck for secure stowage, and a versatile sail shade cover with removable poles tailored for the boat deck to create a comfortable, sun-sheltered retreat.

Lower aft deck

The lower aft deck invites relaxed gatherings with covered seating for six and a convenient wet bar with integrated storage. Just a few steps from the salon and connected by a ladder to the flybridge, it forms a natural hub between indoor and open-air spaces. Encircled by waist-high coaming with walk-through gates, it offers reassuring protection for small children or pets, allowing the salon door to remain open for seamless passage in and out while entertaining. A canvas extension adds further weather protection over the seating, while an additional removable "sail" can be extended over the portion of the aft deck beyond the seating area, where three more chairs are located.

Main exterior decks

Thoughtfully designed walk-around decks deliver unobstructed circulation from bow to stern. In-deck storage compartments line the side decks, complemented by a large storage compartment in the forward section of the coach top and a bosun’s locker aft on the starboard side. Stairs lead down to the swim platform, which features an in-deck compartment sized to fit the tide-ride stair system.

Deck equipment and ground tackle

The deck is equipped for effortless handling and elegant arrivals with an Anchor Windlass VRC 4500 vertical gypsy (hydraulic) managing the ground tackle, partnered with one CQR plow main anchor weighing 108 lbs and one Fortress anchor, all riding on 5/8" HT chain measuring 300 feet. Two MUIR VC 4000 (Port and Starboard Aft Hydraulic) capstans provide powerful assistance when docking or mooring. A 6-foot-wide swim platform offers superb access for water sports and the tender, while dedicated storage inside keeps the boarding passerelle secure when not in use, complemented by UMT boarding stairs for seamless embarkation. Night operations are confidently supported by two ACR searchlights and aft deck floodlights, and comfort at the waterline is enhanced by a transom shower, with midships boarding gates adding practical versatility for side-to access.

Crew quarters

Two crew staterooms are positioned forward of the Galley, one to port and the other to starboard, each appointed with over-and-under bunks providing two berths and both with private ensuite heads. Thoughtful amenities include reading lights and overhead lights, stainless steel portlights, storage drawers, and hanging lockers in each stateroom, creating practical, well-lit, and comfortable accommodations for the crew.

Engine room

A hatch in the deck of the Lower Aft Deck leads down to the massive engine room, located in the after-most compartment, where equipment access is outstanding.

Main machinery

Powered by twin CAT 3412E engines, each producing 1,440 hp, this yacht delivers authoritative performance with confidence-inspiring redundancy. The port engine received a top-end rebuild in 2020 and has logged 1,065 hours since, for total engine time of 4,925 hours as of August 2025. The starboard engine benefited from a full in-frame rebuild in 2020 and has accrued 1,072 hours since, bringing total hours to 4,832 as of August 2025. Power is transmitted through ZF 1950 V-Drive transmissions with a 2.448:1 ratio, turning five-blade NiBrAl propellers; the port transmission was rebuilt in 2019 and the starboard in 2020. The machinery spaces reflect diligent care, with all engines overseen by a lifelong captain with years of experience and an engine room kept clean and tidy throughout.

Electrical generation is equally robust, with a port Northern Lights 65 kW unit showing 6,705 hours as of August 2025 and a starboard Northern Lights 33 kW unit showing 6,315 hours as of August 2025; a new electrical end was installed in February 2023. All systems are maintained to the highest standard to ensure reliability and long-term service.

Precision handling and comfort underway are delivered by a Quantum 65 HP bow thruster, Quantum ARC 3010 Ride Control Stabilizers, hydraulic steering via Wagner NB2 1260-35-EA2, a main VRC anchor windlass, and two MUIR line-handling winches on the stern.

Climate control comes from a 15-ton air-conditioning plant comprising three Marine Air 60 chillers with titanium internals for superior corrosion resistance, while freshwater independence is assured by a Sea Xchange watermaker rated at 2,200 GPD, serviced monthly.

Tankage

Engineered for long‑range cruising, the yacht carries 4,100 US Gallons of diesel fuel and 1,000 US Gallons of fresh water, supplemented by a water maker producing 2,200 US Gallons a day. A Headhunter Sentry tank monitor oversees all tanks. Waste management is equally robust, with 400 US Gallons of black water capacity arranged in two 200 US Gallon tanks and 270 US Gallons of gray water capacity divided between two 135 US Gallon tanks.

Electrical system

Engineered for dependable offshore power management, the yacht features a robust 240-volt, 100-amp service complemented by shore power capability at 110/240 volts, single phase, 60 Hz. Power connection is effortless via two 100-foot shore power cords on Glendinning reels, safeguarded by an Atlas isolation transformer and supported by multiple Mastervolt battery chargers. The DC backbone is equally substantial, with eight AGM 8D 12V house batteries, four AGM 8D 12V main engine batteries, and two AGM 12V emergency batteries providing confident redundancy.

Electronics and navigation

Command the voyage with a comprehensive suite that begins with a Ritchie four-inch magnetic compass and a Simrad AP 35 autopilot, complemented by a Furuno DFF1 depth sounder and an Airmar wind anemometer for precise situational awareness. Long-range targets are brought into sharp relief by Furuno X-band radar systems, including an ARP26 ARPA with a 96 NM range and a TZT fourteen-inch DRS with a 72 NM range, while a Furuno SC60 satellite compass, a Furuno RD33, and GPS coverage via the Furuno GP 33 and Furuno GP 320B ensure accurate positioning at every turn. A custom CPU for the ship’s computer drives Nobeltec plotter software for clear, confident route planning. Seamless communication flows through a KVH V3 satellite Tracphone, integrated cellular and satellite phone communication, and two Sailor G216 VHF radios, delivering reliable connectivity wherever the horizon leads.

Entertainment and internet equipment

Stay connected and entertained with a KVH HD7 TV antenna and a robust onboard network anchored by three Peplink AP One Enterprise WAPs, one Peplink router, and one Aigean Dual Band WiFi Client, delivering reliable coverage throughout the vessel. Five Smart HDTVs enrich every living space, complemented by two DVD players, one each in the salon and galley. Immersive audio flows through four Sonos amplifiers, thoughtfully positioned with one in the dining area, one in the salon, one on the aft deck, and one on the bridge.

Safety equipment

Confidence at sea begins with comprehensive protection: an FM 200 engine room suppression system stands ready alongside fourteen portable extinguishers and an array of fire, heat, and smoke detectors, all integrated with a Firelite MS905 addressable detection system. For life-saving readiness, two Viking eight-person life rafts are positioned on the aft bridge deck, complemented by three life rings, two EPIRBs, and a full complement of flares. Medical preparedness is equally robust, with extensive equipment aboard, including defibrillators certified annually.

Tender

The yacht is equipped with a 14-foot Novurania RIB tender powered by a 50 hp Evinrude E-Tec, complemented by a Garmin MFD display for confident navigation. A Bimini top offers welcome shade, while a full storage cover protects the tender when not in use. It is securely stowed on the aft bridge deck and launched with the main tender davit by Marquipt, which provides a 1,500 lb. capacity.

Refit and updates

In May 2024, the yacht received fresh bottom paint, Prop speed applied to the running gear, and new anodes, while in February 2024 two A/C raw water pumps were replaced. November 2023 brought a new clothes washing machine and a new freezer on the bridge, followed in July 2023 by a full inspection of all fire safety gear and, in June 2023, a new microwave for the galley. In February 2023 a new electrical end was installed on the 65KW Northern Lights generator.

Progress through 2022 included a new black water pump in September, new hot water heaters in July, new mast lights in May along with a newly created aft seating area and new freshwater “Mach 5” pumps, and the main mast was extended that year as well. The 2021 interior refit introduced new soft goods throughout and an updated reading area, with new air conditioning thermostats installed as needed, many pumps replaced, new awnings fitted, and all new Smart TVs and AV equipment installed throughout the vessel.

In 2020 the starboard engine underwent a full rebuild, the port engine received a top end rebuild, a new exhaust system was installed for the main engines, a new intake and exhaust fan system refreshed the engine room, and new air conditioning chillers were fitted; across 2019/2020 the ZF transmissions were rebuilt. From 2018 to 2020, air handlers were replaced as needed, all tanks were cleaned, major generator services were performed, and a total re-paint was completed.
