Detailed Description
Description
Custom-built for her original owner, this Nordic Tug 37 offers a comfortable, efficient layout ideal for a cruising couple, with the flexibility to accommodate guests. The forward stateroom features a large island berth, while the head includes a generous separate shower stall. In the salon, a pull-out sofa converts to a double berth for occasional overnight visitors, and the large, well-equipped galley makes it easy to provide gourmet meals for the crew. Kept exceptionally clean, this yacht also boasts notable upgrades including updated electronics, a water maker, and a SeaKeeper gyro stabilizer for improved comfort underway.
Overview
Purpose-built for effortless passagemaking and refined onboard living, this yacht pairs robust mechanical pedigree with thoughtful upgrades and meticulous care. At its heart, a Cummins QSB5.9 HO 380 hp diesel shows 2526 hours and turns a fixed four-blade bronze prop, with a new shaft seal, cutlass bearing, and rudder housing completed in 2023. A factory-installed fifty-gallon extra fuel tank brings total capacity to 375 gallons, yielding a cruising range of 700 nautical miles, while a Reverso oil change system streamlines service. Power is assured by an Onan e-QD 9KW generator with 738 hours, separate start batteries for both genset and engine, and four house batteries, all supported by twin 30 amp shore power inlets with cords and a Victron 3000 watt inverter installed in 2024. Comfort and control underway are elevated by a Seakeeper 3 gyro stabilizer new in 2025 and a Lewmar Bow thruster, while daily life aboard benefits from a Pinnacle washer/dryer combo in a separate utility room, a Nova Kool fridge/freezer new in 2021, and three AC/reverse cycle heat units serviced in 2023. The galley is equipped with a Force Ten electric three-burner stove and oven and a microwave, and domestic systems include hot and cold pressure water serving shower, head, and galley sink spigots, plus a deck washdown and stern shower. A VacuFlush head rebuilt in 2021 and a SeaWater Pro water maker producing seventeen GPH, new in 2024, round out the bluewater essentials, with all scheduled maintenance up to date—leave for the Great Loop tomorrow.
On deck, a Lofrans Tigres electric anchor windlass pairs with a polished stainless steel CQR style anchor for confident holding. The cabin top carries a dinghy crane with cradle and a 10’ Bauer sailing dinghy powered by a Torquedo 1107 electric motor, and the crane’s hydraulic cylinder was replaced in 2023. The navy blue hull paint applied in 2021 gleams, while practical enhancements include non-skid added to the coach roof with two kayak tie-offs, windshield covers for anchor or dockside, and custom port covers.
Navigation and communication are anchored by a Raymarine E120 MFD with chart plotter, Radar, and fish finder new in 2024, complemented by a Raymarine depthsounder and transducer new in 2023 and a Raymarine autopilot new in 2024. Entertainment is equally considered, with flat-screen TVs in the main salon—new in 2023—and in the master stateroom, a Horizon VHF new in 2021, and a stereo new in 2023.
Thoughtful accommodations begin with a custom queen-sized island berth and extend through a warmly appointed interior featuring a custom teak and holly sole throughout. A custom salon dining table easily serves four, and the head offers a large separate shower stall. Fresh air flows through screens on the aft door, both side doors, and overhead hatches, enhancing the sense of open, airy comfort.
Safety equipment is comprehensive and ready, including life jackets, fire extinguishers, electric horns, a Halon fire extinguisher in the engine room, and flares, delivering complete peace of mind whether cruising near shore or setting off on extended adventures.
