Built in 2003, the Uniesse 55 Motor Yacht is an Italian-built luxury flybridge cruiser, with a sharp deep‑V fiberglass hull, overall length around 55–56 feet, and an impressive beam of 16 feet.

Overview

The hulls were designed by Naval Architect Fred Hudson with a focus on a soft, reassuringly heavy ride in rough waters, a hallmark that has made Uniesse Yachts renowned in the brokerage market for feeling “solid as a rock” underfoot. This confidence is the direct result of a very generous fiberglass laminate; compared with many modern 2020 production yachts of the same size, an Uniesse is significantly thicker and heavier, thanks to the shipyard’s early 2000s practice of employing a high ratio of resin-to-glass and heavy layers of woven roving. This vessel was custom made.

The Uniesse 55 holds a European CE certification of Category A - Ocean, the highest rating designated under the European Recreational Craft Directive (RCD), certifying that the yacht is built to operate safely on largely self-sufficient voyages. This standard encompasses structural thresholds that include the ability to withstand winds exceeding Beaufort Force 8—typically over 40 knots, or roughly 46 mph—and to handle significant wave heights above 4 meters (approximately 13 feet), excluding abnormal conditions such as rogue waves or hurricanes. Certified for extended open-ocean passages and deep-sea cruising, it reflects the heavy-duty fiberglass construction standards employed by the Italian shipyard.

Recent upgrades

A comprehensive program of enhancements elevates performance, comfort, and reliability throughout. Climate control is optimized by a new 60,000 BTU A/C chiller paired with a Scott Loop Line pump, supported by new through-hulls for the generator, MAN engines, and A/C strainers, and further quieted by new engine-room ceiling insulation for sound and heat. The engines, generator, and transmission were fully serviced in June 2026; the hull bottom was painted with two coats of antifoul in June 2026, and the running gear received three coats of antifoul the same month. Interior ambiance shines with upgraded LED lighting in the salon and staterooms, while Nuteak brand flooring in the cockpit and on the swim platform adds enduring style and grip. Critical systems were renewed with all Jabsco bilge pumps and float switches replaced in 2026, dual Icom VHF radios installed at the flybridge and inner helm with new individual antennas, and an upgraded 800-pound passerelle finished with new grated teak. Additional refinements include new stainless hinge springs on the hatches, a new Garmin 4' open-array antenna, new waterproof speakers on the flybridge and in the cockpit, and a new engine hose.

Features

Equipped for confidence and comfort, the yacht features an auto inflatable life raft, a fire fighting system, and batteries supported by 50-amp shore power and a Kohler generator, while pivoting headlights, rudders, and horn enhance awareness underway. Climate aboard remains effortless with reversible climate control, a boiler for hot water, and a comprehensive water harbour connector system, backed by a black water system with black water tank. Everyday convenience is ensured by 12-volt internal sockets, four electronic marine toilets, an external refrigerator with electric plate, a BBQ grill, and, on the flybridge, a dedicated BBQ, sink, and refrigerator. Relaxation is elevated with complete cushions including aft cushions, bow cushions, a sunbed, a console cover, and a bimini, complemented by a newly replaced flybridge bimini top, flybridge canvas seat and helm covers, a cockpit sunshade, and stainless railings running from stern to bow. In the master suite, a custom Tempur-Pedic mattress pairs with a Jacuzzi and bidet in the master head and a safe installed in the master stateroom, while V-Cool has been added to the windshield and windows and three exterior sunshades for windows provide additional protection. Assorted spare parts and new engine hoses add peace of mind.

Entertainment is immersive, with speakers, a satellite dish, a stereo, and three TVs enhanced by a Track Vision satellite TV system and a Bose Lifestyle 50 surround sound system serving the salon, cockpit, flybridge, and master suite. Command comes naturally from the lower helm’s motorized captain’s chair and dual “Pompette” captain’s chairs on the flybridge, aided by dual Garmin 8612 GPS/radar units at the bridge helm and one Garmin 8610 GPS/radar at the salon helm. Precise handling is delivered by bow and stern thrusters, port and starboard warping winches, two stern winches, and Mathers remote stern driving controls, while a Delta anchor with full chain benefits from chain washing for swift, clean deployments.
