58' Viking Sportfish Convertible—an elegant, bluewater, tournament‑ready flybridge yacht—featuring the highly sought 3‑stateroom / 3‑head layout.
Detailed Description
Layout
One of the most thoughtful arrangements in a sportfish convertible, this three-stateroom, three-head layout blends privacy and open living. To port, the master suite features a queen berth and its own private head. Forward, a crossover cabin provides a double and a single berth with an en-suite head, ideal for family or crew. To starboard, the guest stateroom offers comfortable over-under bunks. Up the companionway, the main deck welcomes you with a bright salon tailored for entertaining—an L-shaped sofa, bar stools, a dedicated dinette, and a well-equipped galley—delivering the flybridge yacht experience owners love.
Bridge
The flybridge is enclosed by a welded aluminum frame with a hardtop and clear curtains on three sides, creating a protected command center for offshore runs. The helm is flanked by two pedestal-mounted, ladder-back chairs with cushions, while two generous bench seats—also cushioned and with integrated storage—invite guests to relax. Six rod holders and a storage compartment in the bridge brow keep gear organized. A drink box with a sink adds convenient refreshment service, and a pair of Miya Epoch X8GT electric teaser reels equips this convertible for serious sportfishing.
Galley
Purpose-built for extended cruising, the galley features a Princess three-burner cooktop, twin Sub-Zero two-drawer refrigerators, and a Sub-Zero two-drawer freezer for generous cold storage. A Sharp Carousel microwave/convection oven expands cooking options, while a Badger garbage disposal and a single stainless-steel sink with hot and cold water streamline cleanup. Corian and solid-surface countertops provide durable workspaces, complemented by plentiful cabinets and drawers and finished with resilient Amtico flooring.
Electronics
On the flybridge, navigation and fish-finding capability is anchored by a brand-new FURUNO TZ3 touch plotter/GPS/sounder, paired with a Furuno NavNet VX2 radar/GPS/sounder/plotter. A Furuno NavPilot autopilot and a Furuno RD-30 multi-data display enhance precision and situational awareness. Communications are handled by ICOM VHF IC-602 and IC-604 radios, while a Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo sets the soundtrack for the day. Steering is via SeaStar hydraulic, delivering smooth, confident control from the flybridge helm.
Cockpit and deck
Designed for bluewater sportfishing, the cockpit and foredeck are comprehensively outfitted: eight stainless-steel cleats and an aluminum bow rail provide secure handling; a transom door with a lift gate streamlines landing big fish. A pair of Rupp triple-spreader outriggers plus a Rupp center rigger expand your spread. Both raw-water and freshwater washdowns simplify cleanup, while an aluminum ladder with starboard treads leads confidently to the bridge. Rod storage is abundant, with four gunwale-mounted holders and one at the transom, two additional holders in each cockpit wing, and two more on each tower leg. A bait-rigging station with sink, a dedicated bait freezer, and a large, macerated cockpit-sole fishbox support tournament days. At center, a Release Marine rocket launcher offers six rod holders with a rigging tray, drawer, and cover, and coaming pads wrap three sides for comfort. Two tackle-drawer lockers keep gear at the ready.
Auxiliary equipment
Operations are simplified with Bennett trim tabs, a fifty-amp shore power cord on a Cablemaster reel, and a full-sized, stacked Whirlpool washer/dryer. An oil-change system and a central vacuum system ease maintenance, while two underwater lights add evening allure. In the aft lazarette, spare four-blade propellers stand ready. Ground tackle is robust: a Fortress anchor with chain and twisted nylon rode, an anchor locker in the bow with hatch, an integral fiberglass pulpit with stainless-steel anchor chute and rollers, and a Simpson Lawrence twenty-four-volt windlass with bow controls.
Tower
The tower enhances sightlines and control, featuring a hard buggy top, coaming pads around three sides for comfort, and full hydraulic steering with engine controls—an essential advantage for a serious sportfish convertible.
Heads
Each head features dependable VacuFlush toilets, a separate fiberglass shower stall with a glass door, and a refined mica vanity topped with a Corian countertop and integrated sink—practical, easy to maintain, and well finished.
Updates and upgrades
Recent work underscores turn-key confidence: the one-thousand-three-hundred-horsepower MAN engines were overhauled in December twenty twenty-three. Also completed that month were fresh bottom paint and zincs, propellers pulled, precision balanced, and PropSpeed coated, new cutlass bearings, all-new start and house batteries, a new house water pump, a rebuilt automatic salon door, and updated Wi‑Fi. Further enhancements include Micro Commander control boxes and new carpet in twenty twenty-two, fuel coolers in twenty twenty-two, salon A/C vents, a salon ice maker, a raw-water A/C pump, an Eskimo ice machine from twenty eighteen, a renewed steering ram, LED underwater lights, and engine-room touch-up paint in twenty twenty-two. A four-filter Racor fuel filtration system adds another layer of reliability.
