DISCOVERY - the modern classics
DISCOVERY is the sailing yachts produced in the UK and became a legend in the world of yacht building. Despite a short history, the DISCOVERY Yachts company became widely known in Europe and beyond.
The company was founded in 1998 by John and Caroline Chamley. Combining a passion for sailing and the dream of the perfect cruise ship with rigging, they decided to build their own yachts and ordered the design from the famous designer Ron Holland. Thus, Discovery 55 was born.
Today DISCOVERY Yachts is a prosperous shipyard in Southampton that is operated by the experienced naval architects, designers, craftsmen. A team of one hundred professionals produce the high-speed and reliable sailing yachts. Every year the shipyard launches ten custom-made boats preserving the distinctive features of DISCOVERY.
The DISCOVERY yachts are designed for the sailing fans and professionals. They can be called a true classics of modern yacht building. Many shipyards look up to them.
The sophisticated design, high-quality and easy-to-use sailing equipment, comfortable cabins - all these things make the yachts unique. Some of them, in spite of the "youth" of the brand and the shipyard can be seen in the list of second-hand yachts.
