FUJI

FUJI - a Japanese miracle from Long Beach

The FUJI shipyard was established by Clair Oberly in 1957 in Yokosuka, Japan. Some models of wooden ships were built at the production site in Yokosuka. These were mostly the yachts. At that time the boats were built according to the old technology. In the late 70s, when the manufacturers began to test fiberglass and other new things, and the crisis came to Japan, the shipyard moved to Long Beach, California. It is here where the company began building the modern yachts that are now associated with the name of the shipyard.

Today, the company produces several kinds of ships. The most simple yachts are FUJI 12. These sailing boats are made of fiberglass and Philippine Mahogany. They have the small sails. The boats are designed for individual sailing sessions. The flagship of the shipyard is FUJI 45. This is the full-fledged sailing vessel, equipped with a motor. The boats of this series have a hull made of modern materials, in particular - of composites. Such vessels can participate in the regattas and major competitions. They are ideal for rest and recreation.

The company is developing other models of ships, but they have not yet been put into production, even as the prototypes. The engineers are developing the yachts that might be interesting for the very wealthy clients. However, the serious buyers pay attention to the existing serial models of FUJI.

The boats under this brand can be purchased at the brokers. There are both quite new and used yachts that were sold by the owners.
