SANTA CRUZ

SANTA CRUZ - the sailing classics

SANTA CRUZ is a shipyard with a production site in Greencove Springs, Florida. The company was founded by Bill Lee. The shipyard has a 35-year history and extensive experience in the field of shipbuilding. Bill Lee, the owner of the company, began production from the lightweight sport sailing ships. The structures were designed for navigation in the open sea. Most of the constructed models could participate in the ocean races on the long distance.

The Merlin yacht with a length of 20 meters launched in 1977 has been criticized. However, the ship was able to win Transpacific Yacht Race, by developing the speed of 28 knots. It was not the last victory of the yacht, built by SANTA CRUZ. In 1981 the same ship again won the Transpacific Yacht Race, confounding the critics for the second time.

Today SANTA CRUZ occupies a niche of the lightweight and fast boats. The company began to build not only the sailing ships, but also motor boats. It expanded market for the shipyard and attracted more customers. The old boats made by the manufacturer, are still in demand. The price of many boats have been increased seriously, because they have become classics. Some of them are already part of the history - the model of the last century are looked after, as the examples.

SANTA CRUZ sells its vessels through the dealer network. The old yachts under this brand can be found at the brokers. They present the models, the reliability of which is time-tested. Many ships have been upgraded, but they have kept their original accessories and design.
