Detailed Description
Description
Meet Grace, a 2000 Beneteau 311 prepared to impress. Feature-packed and remarkably spacious, she is the ultimate quick cruiser, uniquely outfitted with salon diesel heat and air conditioning, a Lithium house battery, an updated inverter, an electronic head, and a full suite of new Raymarine electronics with radar. A Maxwell wireless windlass with remote, LED lighting, and a Victron Energy Color Control panel and inverter elevate ease of use and efficiency. Fresh salon seat coverings complete a thoughtful refresh, and the upgrades continue far beyond what is typical—no other Beneteau 311 is equipped quite like this one.
Her two-cabin, single-head layout is ideal for cruising the Columbia River, the Puget Sound, and beyond. The centerline salon table hides dedicated wine storage and features expanding leaves to adapt effortlessly from intimate evenings to convivial gatherings. A spacious galley with a propane range and convenient built‑in refrigeration keeps provisions at the ready.
Power is by a single Yanmar 18 HP diesel showing around 1,100 hours, with excellent access from either the aft stateroom or beneath the salon steps. The owner unexpectedly passed mid-project, so a touch of TLC remains to be finished—thankfully, she comes with the bulk of the parts needed.
Other details
Sail area: the working sail area spans 539.00 sq ft, giving the Beneteau 311 the power and balance that belie her size. Designed by Groupe Finot, she is fast and comfortable, carrying many of the virtues typically reserved for larger yachts. Her powerful hull—shared with the Beneteau First Class Figaro—combines with Beneteau’s integral molded grid structure to create an extremely strong and stiff platform. A bulb keel with moderate draft delivers impressive speed and excellent performance under sail. The generous sail plan divides area between a mainsail with long battens and a furling genoa with a moderate overlap. On deck, simplicity and efficiency rule: a large cockpit with slatted teak seats remains uncluttered thanks to the mainsheet traveler on the coachroof and a rigid boom vang, and the genoa sheet winches sit within easy reach of the helm. Standard equipment includes lazy jacks, a quick reefing system, and a solid boom vang.
Handling the retractable keel is straightforward: the external ballast–keel assembly remains permanently beneath the hull, allowing the retractable element to be kept to a moderate 660 lbs and raised or lowered with a simple mechanical jack. At low tide, the Beneteau 311 rests on the forward section of the external ballast sole and on her two solid rudders—strengthened for the purpose—forming a highly stable tripod. Below, to port, the galley provides a gimbaled stove, a stainless-steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, and abundant storage. Also to port is a large head with a marine toilet, wash basin, a shower with pressurized hot and cold water, a hanging locker, and ample space for sundries. To starboard sits a large navigation table with electronics easy to view on the bulkhead. The symmetrical salon features twin settees flanking a large drop‑leaf table. Two cabins, forward and aft, complete the accommodations: the private forward cabin offers a V‑berth measuring 6 feet 5 inches by 4 feet 6 inches, a large hanging locker, and extensive hull‑side storage; the aft cabin is equally generous, with plenty of room for gear.

Features
Thoughtful systems and comforts elevate Grace far above her peers. Shore power feeds an updated inverter and a Victron Energy Color Control panel, supported by a robust Lithium house battery and a dedicated battery charger. A complete electronics suite includes new Raymarine instrumentation with radar, a depthsounder, wind speed and direction, GPS, a plotter, an autopilot, a navigation center, a VHF, a radio, a TV set, cockpit speakers, and a compass. Interior amenities comprise air conditioning, diesel heat, hot water, a refrigerator, an electronic/electric head, and an electric bilge pump. On deck, a Maxwell wireless windlass simplifies anchoring, a liferaft adds peace of mind, a swimming ladder encourages spontaneous swims, and a steering wheel provides confident control underway.
Propulsion
Power comes from a single Yanmar 2GM20 diesel, year 2000, rated at 18 hp with 1,096 hours. The engine is inboard with direct drive and runs on diesel, combining reliability and efficiency for effortless passage-making.
Specifications
With an overall length of 32.25 ft and a waterline length of 28.92 ft, the Beneteau 311 balances performance and comfort, further enhanced by a 10.5 ft beam and a max draft of 4.67 ft. Displacement is supported by a dry weight of 7,716 lb. Tankage is practical and balanced: one fresh water tank of 52 gal, one fuel tank of 18 gal, and one holding tank of 18 gal. Accommodations comprise two cabins and one head, making the yacht an ideal compact cruiser for extended weekends or longer adventures.
